Is this an event that if I show up at 9 there will not be a table?
Is CBC Yakima this week?
Was just bottled yesterday. Picked up last night by distrib. They should start delivering Wednesday in Central Ohio. Prob Thurs or Fri for NE Ohio. (They need to transfer the beer up North from Cbus warehouse).
Buckeye beer engine also just added BB Oil to the list for Sunday as well.
Look for small amounts of Avery Rumpkin and Pumpkyn to drop this week.
I know that the potential Canton Fat Heads location was already mentioned, but I was just reading this in a Repository article and thought I would share.
"DeVille Enterprises hopes to fill remaining open slots in the plaza on the northeast corner of Whipple Avenue and Everhard Road NW with restaurants and small retailers. One possibility is a Fat Head's Brewery & Restaurant. The business has two local options on the November general election ballot seeking approval to sell beer, wine and liquor."
Is hoof still having a morning and afternoon session on Sunday or just one now?
Morning and afternoon per Facebook.
BA Battle Axes still on tap at FH Taphouse. All 3 yrs. 14 is phenomenal Also Citra Hop Stalker.....not a bad way to take in the Tribe
Born Yesterday seems to have landed much quicker than it did last year
Lots of awesome stuff hitting Ohio this week! Avery Samael's, Mephistopheles, Rumpkin and Pump[KY]n (very small amount though), Lagunitas Born Yesterday and Founders Harvest Ale! Good Beer Week.
Heard the next line of Bruery Beers are hitting this week
Any sightings or info....gotta get a Melange 14
Melange 14 hit Dayton and Columbus last week.
It hit NE Ohio last week also.
I hit fat heads yesterday in north olmsted for their barrel tappings, I liked the great scots ale the best, the peppered stout was still on, which was very good, medium heat, just enough. Thought it'd be a bit busier for the tribe game, but plenty of tables last night.
Anyone seen Yakima yet from cbc?
5 cases behind the counter at Market District Grandview, plus a limited supply of Born Yesterday
New batch of hop stalker bottled 10/17 released 10/18 at the tap house. Ohio's version of born yesterday. Plenty left in the cooler.
Ale Wine And Spirits in Powell had some earlier today.
I really need to stop on by for a 4-pack, but I have so much IPA in the fridge from our Boston trip it's hard to add more. Damn you Trillium! (Good problem to have, I suppose!).
The Citra Hop Stalker was still on if you go to the Taphouse.... > regular, IMO
They claim to have not recieved any yet...hmmm
The one on 3rd was on their last case about 5:45 p.m.
Can confirm that they got it as well. I saw the empty box as I ruffled through their shit behind the counter at 7am this morning haha.
On tap at Rozis.
3-4 cases at Weiland's yesterday; tastes fantastic.
Looks like Yakima Fresh Hop bottles are in Cleveland today. How scary is it to say that it might be the best beer they've bottled?
I'd still go with Bodhi.
Tried Biggie yesterday from Listermann. Surprised I haven't heard more about it since it appears to be the first NE style IPA in the Cincinnati area. It was very good with some room for improvement. Was a tad boozy for my taste and had an aftertaste that was not as clean as I'd prefer.
Mouthfeel, color and initial flavor on point though.
I had it at Fat Heads last year and thought it was better than Hop Stalker
Agree...I liked it, but it could definitely be better.
I agree. I had it there last year also, alongside Hop Stalker and Citra Hop Stalker. I thought it was definitely the best of the 3, not that the other 2 aren't both amazing in their own right.
Speaking of wet hops, not sure why, but born yesterday blew me away last night, the aroma was killer, I told my buddy it poured green, which was an exaggeration, but man it was great. I didn't have the same reaction with hop stalker on tap at fat heads this week, and don't remember being blown away last year by born yesterday either. Just saying.
Quietly maple Jesus came and went in the Dayton area
Michigan Maple Jesus was at The Wine Spot and Warehouse Beverage today. Limited quantities. Only 1 bottle a person.
Son of a......
I almost went there after work today. Oh well.
just picked up the last bottle
Rum, Brandy and Bourbon Ten FIDY draft and crowlers at Townhall. They will provide samples as well.
Quick review on maple Jesus boozy bourbon chocolate and a little too sweet wouldn't go out of the way to grab another one, makes me really thankful for Jackie O's bourbon barrel black maple as it blows maple Jesus away not saying maple Jesus isn't solid but next to black maple it isn't even close.
Huh, hadn't heard about that. I'll have to be on the lookout.
The Woodburn took a stab at a NE style IPA called "Lovitt IPA" and I was underwhelmed; just seemed like an average, midwest IPA to me.
