Most of the "Beer" stores have sold out, but a lot of the Krogers have it lying around.

 

Heading to the HH release Sunday, anyone know if there would still be any Galaxy High available in the northern Columbus area? I'm not trying to drive too far past Marengo, but I wouldn't be against driving a little further if I can pick some up.

 

Might be able to find some in the Polaris area, which would be a little further south on I-71 (~20 mins).

 

Heard some new news about a new brewery opening up in my back yard in the newr future (haven't heard a time frame yet). It is the project of a former brewmaster from Uinta who told a friend of mine this week that it will be a brew pub/restaurant off of SR 36 and 93. This is in eastern Coshocton County (Just down the road from Ravens Glenn Winery 10 min from 77 for anyone familiar. South of Dover/New Philly, North if Cambridge, East of Newark for most who probably are not ). Here is the man with a plan

I havent had a lot of their beers, but I recall Baba Black Lager being good and Hop Nosh is excellent. Seems like some potential here.

Ok so I didn't have any luck finding Galaxy high in Columbus, anyone know if cincy might have some left? Any leads appreciated just want to grab a couple cans to try since they say the "high" series rocks!

 

Not Columbus, but I saw 1 bottle left at the Winerak is Zanesville.

Is KBS still sitting on shelves in Columbus?

 

I doubt it even made it to a shelf in most stores

 

I've seen it at quite a few places, including a few different Kroger stores as well as the Shell on Pfeiffer and Kenwood.

 

I never saw any in Cbus, but did find a bottle at Jungle Jim's Eastgate yesterday. There were a few left. Sorry, not that it helps you but maybe someone in Cincy is searching too?

Basically, if the article is correct, raising the 12% limit has passed the House and language doing the same is about to be added to a Senate bill. I do wonder at what is meant by the proposed labeling requirement for beers over 12%. Still, this is the best news I've seen so far regarding bumping the limit from 12% to, I assume, 21% abv.

 

As someone said earlier, having Faber on this has been key.

Though from the article, it sounds like the Senate has basically 'amended' the bill to include the ABV cap removal, which means that if it passes the Senate, it would then need to be voted again by the house.

"Faber said he expects to add the alcohol proposal to a House-passed bill. He said it would require that beer over 12 percent be labeled as high-alcohol." As I believe the House bill only deals with distillery brewing limits.
