There seems to be a theme of slow down and savor going on. I like that. Seems this whole craft thing went from zero to sixty in nothing flat, and it was easy to get caught up in.

Eat more veggies and ride more miles too.

I'm gonna make an honest attempt to drink more locally. I recently have been rather impressed with some Ohio offerings. Not to say that I haven't been impressed in the past, But 4 years and almost 1000 beers into this it might be getting through my thick skull already . . . hey, there is some really good beer right next door.

    Quality over quantity.

(So far I've been doing pretty well on the first half...)

Saying no to that "one more and I'm done" beer.
Getting more howlers filled and less growlers.
Using a smaller serving glass to pour 6oz pours instead of 12 or 16oz, it tricks me into drinking slower and enjoying it more.

So far all three of these are working wonders. All to limit drinking to save $ to buy a house, or just a new grill, depending on how much I can save.

    Drink less.

Stop buying sours and wilds because I just don't like them, no matter how many I try.

    Keep supporting local.

    Revisit some easily obtainable beers.

    Drink down my cellar.

Echoing a sentiment I see alot on this thread, I need to spend less. We want to do a big 3 week "national parks + breweries" roadtrip from CO to the west coast then up into Canada and back across to the Great Lakes in summer of 2018, so my outrageous beer spending needs to be curbed for this to happen (but not until after the Central Waters party...) I honestly think I have more of a shopping problem than a drinking problem, but a problem nonetheless that needs to change.

This^ I live 80 minutes from tree house and trillium and 25 from tilted barn and proclamation. Only visited each of these breweries once. In 2017 I'd like to drink less beer and drink better beer

    1. Drink down my cellar, as I tend to buy way more than I drink. Could drink more I guess, but seems more responsible to buy less.
    2. That said, I'd buy cases of KBS, Prairie Pirate BOMB, BCBS, BA Fidy, and CBS if I could.
    3. Visit one or more of my favorite breweries; Oskar Blues, Central Waters, Goose Island, Founders, Prairie.

    For me:

    1. Drink less
    2. When buying cans/bottles...revisit more old favorites from breweries I like instead of driving all over to grab the latest hyped release. I have a list of about ten or so breweries that I want to focus on in 2017 once I clear down my cellar.
    3. Enjoy local beer when I do travel..Should mean plenty of great Alaskan beers this summer.

No beer Tuesdays and Thursdays and get back to homebrewing and no more mixpaks just to try one beer out of it.

I cut waaaay back on beer consumption for 6 weeks leading up to my 1st beer resolution, to stop drinking beer for the month of January. Day ten and I gotta say I am getting kinda "thirsty", but not nearly as "thirsty" as I thought I would be at this point.

My other resolution is to drink even more locally produced goodness, maybe even stop buying out of area beer all together. With Hudson Valley Brewery and Equilibrium set to open to the public, and all the other amazing breweries we have here in the Hudson Valley and New York in general now, in 2017 I think drinking local is gonna equal drinking best.

Is more day drinking an acceptable beer resolution? I enjoy visiting venues during daylight hours while it's quiet, easy to get a seat and don't have to fight a crowd. I plan to keep this up. When I buy for house day drinking, I'm going to stick to my shopping list, and keep it as local as possible.

I've recently been successful walking out of a shop empty handed as well, I plan to keep this up. Unless I see something I really want, I'm done grabbing whatever just because I went out browsing. Feels weird in the smaller shops when you get to talking to the people that work their, but I've gotten over it.

Drink most (if not all) of the remaining Imperial Stouts in my cellar.

Over the last about 8 years I have been cellaring a modest amount of Imperial Stouts, Barleywines, and Strong Dark Belgians. But every Imperial Stout I've drank that's more than about 3 years old has gone downhill. Most I have preferred fresh.

Its funny, all the beer being produced locally (read:in state) is equal to or better than whats being shipped in here too.

Homebrew 20 (or more) batches in 2017 and continue to share as much as possible with friends and family.

Drink more local beer at the source.

Invite friends out more or drink beer in with them.
