Just wilondering if Citra Shower bottles are still available at the brewery? Wanna stop by after work (from LAX) for a few bottles. Hate to drive to Anaheim for no reason. Well a pint of Citra is a good reason. But would like to take some bottles home. Cheers man....

Sounds like a tasty but expensive box set. $34.99-$39.99 I bet.

Yes. They already did at some places. Handy Market had them Friday but I think they are gone.

Is it just me or do these new labels make the Showers beers look like knockoffs of the originals?

The older style labels (below) have more impact. The new labels are a step back. It almost looks like someone lost the original art and rushed a recreation in order to meet a deadline.

More impact yes, but also way too busy. There's a common ground between the two that they missed by a mile. I like the basic new label, it could be really nice with a few minor revisions.

I'm definitely a less is more type of guy, but in this instance, the decorative treatments in the original served their purpose of letting me know I should pay attention to this beer. This new design suggests the beer should be overlooked. If you study the creative treatments used, why was the logo left flat while the name of the beer is constrained within an invisible oval path? Furthermore, the band that encloses the line "Double IPA" uses a curvature that doesn't relate to the name of the beer above. This is clearly a step back.

They've been trying to get away from the shield/Coat of Arms graphic. I think it's to get that 1st/2nd year pre-Evan Price stink off them.

Personally I like the previous incarnation best, but what's most important is the beers inside the bottle and these two new Shower series are why IMHO Noble is making the best tasting DIPAs in So Cal.

    Cheers…….
