I won't be either. I will be bottling a Double Bastard clone attempt and keeping an eye on the two ipas I brewed Wednesday. Both airlocks are sporting an afro right now. Always nice to see.

We're in a slump. I know I took over the WBTW threads for a while, but I haven't brewed since maybe November. I feel bad starting the thread and saying "I'm not brewing, but who is?"

I'm looking into making a 2-Hearted ale. I need to brine a turkey in the stuff. Maybe it's sad that I'd rather brew a clone of the beer than buy a 6er. Maybe I should get away from cloning beers too. Looks like I'll be brewing at least two batches so that everyone's happy.

    Hah!

I'm with ya @inchrisin . I haven't brewed much myself. Got a BA Scotch ale sitting and enjoying it's time with some wood and bourbon, from about a month or two ago..

I've got 3 recipes put together and milled in some sealed buckets.

I'm going to TRY to brew this weekend, but it'll be cold and windy tomorrow, and I might just be able to drag my shit out and brew Sunday probably while I smoke some stuff on the BGE.

I'm leaning towards the Avery Ellies Brown inspired recipe I've got milled up for a nice brown ale.. Mainly because I had to buy hops, NB and Sterling for the beer that I didn't have in my freezer. My neighbor/friend really loves the stuff, and I'll admit.. I like it too. So that'll be good while it's chilly.

That and my LHBS supplies whirlfloc for free when you buy grain from him for a recipe.. I dunno how it works, but I've always gotten some irish moss or whirlfloc for each recipe I put together and never get charged for it. Thats how awesome it is.

I have an IPA and a Blonde milled up for later down the road.. Thinking I'll do the brown, since I have no kettle finings on hand, so I ordered some online. Won't need it really for the brown, but will for the IPA and blonde though.

Plan to do the brown, then the blonde with the new wyeast 1217 I have, and pitch the IPA on the cake of the blonde to avoid having to fuck with a starter.

I dont drink the blonde, but my friends and family love the shit out of it. I could invite 4 folks over, and the full keg would kick in a night if everyone was in the drinkin mood.

The IPA however, I'm stoked for. I actually think I've been going overboard on hop aroma/flavor in my IPA's versus the commercial stuff. Very muddled lately it seems.

Two kids, and my brew days are Limited.. Yes, with a capital "L".

I WILL brew an IPA Sunday, after multiple commitment/equipment/weather related postponements. Chinook, Columbus, Cascade, a little Belma, Sierra Nevada yeast (from a bottle of SNPA, not US05, 1056, etc. There is a difference).

I'm off Monday so I am brewing a Black RyePA with my brewing partner who I've haven't brewed with for over a year. Excited for the beer but I think I am more excited to be brewing with him again.

I'll be brewing my first batch ever today (Saturday), an all citra ipa, partial grain recipe. I've got everything ready to go and while I too have a 3 day weekend I've been psyched to start brewing since I got my equipment two weeks ago so I'm not wasting any time today. Wish me luck!

Next week for me. Kegged my SMaSH GP and US grown Rakau hops from 2 weeks ago, already dryhopped, sinks like a Munich Helles. Not cool. Thinking about keg hopping with some potent stuff, but I am brewing 2 IPAs next weekend anyways.

Will brew on MLK day, as I do most years. Definitely a lager (pitched onto cake of recent pils). I'm leaning towards a Vienna, unless I get inspired to do something else. Perhaps a Dark Cz. lager...

Will also give the CDA-BIPA I kegged last week a try to see how it is coming along.

Going to brew Monday after almost 2 months, and just killed my last keg last night so it's WAY past time to brew up something. Going to do an ipa, a new recipe with 2 row, rye, 20L and some red wheat malt. Hops are 7'c for bittering/flavor and some simcoe and amarillo for lots of aroma.

I was going to get a lager recipe together. Got a czech pils on tap now, and was thinking vienna myself or a bock.

I will be brewing a Hefeweizen... I'm hoping it will be better than my misguided attempt at a dunkel weizen last year. Too much crystal in that one... ewwwww! Won't make THAT mistake again!

    it's a 3.5 gallon batch:
    58% Weyermann Wheat
    35% Weyermann Pils
8% Weyermann Carahell (if I can get it... otherwise I'll sub Munich)

Bittered to 13 IBU with US Hallertauer
    Fermented with White Lab 300

    Cheers!

A big bock would be a great style for using the large yeast cake that I have, but I'm not sure I can get through 5 gallons of a beer that is so malt forward. My taste buds really need hops. Still, I might give a bock a go.

Understand that! I love some hops myself, and just ended up buying another 2 pounds!! WHY!?

Anyways, the Bock sounded good because frankly, I need some variation in my brewing. Tossing in half a pound every batch is getting a bit old!
