Loads of DFH 120 on the shelf at the Spooner Economart @ $9.99 per, for anyone passing through. Also a few Founders Project PAMs left @ 14.99 each. I know PAM is getting up there in age, but it still tastes awfully good.

Eau Claire is probably your best bet. Lazy Monk Brewery is an ok option. For bottle shops Coffee Grounds and Woodmans are your best bets. Just know Woodmans is cash/debit only.

A bit off the topic, but I've been in to Coffee Grounds twice in the past few months. Gotta say I'm a bit disappointed with their selection now. They just recently put in the new brewery, K Point Brewing, and it seems like ever since that project started, the selection has almost gone down to half of what it was. Not sure if it will go back to what it was eventually, but it was pretty disappointing. They still have some decent stuff, but it only took about 10 minutes to walk through now, where in the past I could waste a good half hour walking around checking things out. In all honesty, I miss the old location.

I'd advise changing your route and take 48 instead of 40. Not really a big difference in mileage, but then you could hit up The Village Dell in Rice Lake. Marketplace and Gordy's have decent selections of local stuff as well, in Rice Lake.
Agreed. Their selection had dwindled to almost nothing.

I do have a question I hope someone hear can answer: how far west does Stone Arch distribute? I'd like to get more, but driving to eastern Wisconsin from my central, MN home is a long haul.

Coffee Grounds is a nice tip. Thanks. Boat beer is cold and wet but it's nice to have a better option for the cabin or the fire when we get back. Grabbed some Founders Breakfast, New Glarus Oud Bruin, Lazy Monk, and Stillman's. Looking forward to those. Next trip I'll probably hit Woodman's.
    Thanks again.

Just picked up a bomber of Pseudo Sue from Island Wines, in Cumberland. Bottled 3 days, ago and it is tasting delicious. Fresh Sol Hunter on the shelf as well. Just watch online for the Zealander, as it has a 2015 bottle date.

I'll be in the Eagle River area in a few weeks. Tribute brews some pretty solid beers. Their Blueberry Train is a great summer beer.

Will be doing some hunting in the UP as well for Michigan-only beers.

Is that the Double Dry Hopped Pseudo Sue?

Negative. Just regular old, Decorah brewed Sue.

You'll be able to get Upper Hand (Bell's U.P.-based brand) in Northern WI now. I would also recommend keeping an eye out for some Blackrocks (Marquette, MI) while you are in the Yoop. They are distributing in WI now as well, but I think only in the Green Bay area as of right now.

Was at Tribute on Saturday. Had their Belgian Tripel, Chocolate Porter and Summerwind IPA - all were very good. Place was standing room only too!!

I know this is a NORTHERN WI thread but any advice for hitting a bottle shop or two in Southern WI? I'll be in Germantown/Milwaukee next week for a few days and would love to run down some IA/MN/WI/MI beers.

Obviously the DDH Sue is gone but anywhere to run down some regular Sue or any other Great Lakes beers?

Use the search bar in the upper right corner. There are tons of threads covering this. Discount is always a good place to stop though, when in Milwaukee.

I just looked at the bottle and it was double dry hopped Sue. I thought it would have said something on the label, but it was just tiny print above the bottle date on the neck. Either way, really good.

I guess if anyone is looking for DFH Sue, go to Island Wines & More.

There's a Woodman's near Germantown in Menomonee Falls. They have an awesome beer selection. Cash/Check/Debit only.

Does anyone know if there are any bottle shops worth hitting along the US-41 corridor? Not looking for breweries but just shops as we don't want to lose alot of driving time over beer hunting. Passing through Green Bay, Crivitz, and Iron Mountain on the way to the UP in a couple weeks (then it's glasses of Blackrocks all week!).

Was there last week and had great luck in De Pere just off Main St. at Festival Foods and close by at the Wine Cellar.
Then head north 4mi to Ridgeview Liquor at the new location: 2202 S Ridge Rd, Green Bay. Heading north on 41 there is a Woodmans and another Festival north of that. Good luck!
