Every first Friday of October is Barrel Aged Beer Day (at least that's what their FB page says)
So talk to me...are you going to sip on something barrel aged?

I'm thinking about cracking open an Old Rasputin XII to get the day started.

Dammit. I gave into temptation and drank my bottle of Temptation. I'm sure I can find something else downstairs to drink

Home Brew Maple Vanilla Stout with Cacao Nibs and Real Cinnamon, aged on Bourbon Soaked Wood Chips for a year? Yeahhhhhh, that sounds like the ticket.

I will have to crack open Allagash's new release of Merveilleux, and then maybe top it off with a Curieaux!

Its still too warm for a KBS or BCS...

Hmmm...probably not enough of a big day for me to crack my last NG Wild Sour. I'll probably go with a Marriage Parfait, but reserve the right to change my mind a few times before then

I presume that the 'their' is neither the greeting card companies nor the florists, so who started this on 'their' FB page? (Not that I'm against it, but I'm just curious.)

A KBS sounds like it will be my choice.

Well considering October 5th is my birthday...I'd wager there's a good chance that will happen. Hotoberfest (in the ATL) is on the 5th and they have 2 VIP sections that'll have almost exclusive one-off casks/BA'd options...so I hope no one minds if I persevere and extended it another day.
