Yet to have a great canned/bottled CO chocolate stout. Love Odell. There is hope.

I don't think you'll be disapointed. I thought the variations of this that I tried in their taproom was amongst the best stuff Odell has done. I kept filling growlers up and drank through them way too quickly. So dangerous but so good, IMO.

Is this a variation on Chocolate Oar?

    Yes.

I don't know which variation Chocolate Oar was, so for all I know Chocolate Oar could be the variation that they used for this. Which would be awesome...

I would have bathed in Chocolate Oar. Very stoked for this brew.

Agreed. Fantastic news! Is it similar to Mash of the Titans?

That sounds like a very good one. I hope I can get it locally.

Odell does very little wrong, especially their everyday brews. I'm psyched for this as I love the flavor profile and know Odell won't go crazy and make it a candy beer.

I remember when Mash of the Titans was on tap at Freshcraft for a minute, I really wanted to check it out. Unfortunately, by the time I got there it was already tapped. So I have no idea if the two are similar.

You and me both....as I was getting ready to choose a beer for the night all I could think of is how I could go for some of this.

Oh, Mash of the Titans was delicious. They can't go wrong if it's like either the Chocolate Oar or Mash of the Titans. Didn't like the Cocoa & Nibs as much as the other two.

I believe Mash of the Titans also had coffee and vanilla beans in it as well as chocolate...but I'm not positive. It was delicious however.
