Not 100% sure yet, but it's looking like 1 bottle limit of each (sorry we don't have much!) and right at $20 or so.

Sounds good! Was going to come to town this weekend and do some IP trades and finish some muling for some people, so hopefully I can swing by!

1 bottle of each is the bottle limit, don't recall the price. Not worth my time nor money to drive 150 miles round trip for a one bottle of each. Will have to hope I find it in a bottle shop locally.

Heard from someone (Tim) that it's $20 a pop, then 1 bottle each. I'll be there because the crack tots are freaking amazing anyhow, brunch over there is worth a trip whenever I have a reason to go. The ridiculous beers are just a nice extra.

Trying to figure out if I should work this in with brunch/lunch for the wife and kid, or figure out a way to wrangle friends to go. Either way I am planning to stop by for some deliciousness on tap.

Any thoughts on if its worth it to head down around 3 just to pick up a bottle of each? Is it likely to still be available? Can't make it before then and will have one of my kids in tow.

not sure if bottles will still be available

I was told by a bartender that only 5 cases are being sold today

considering there are only 60 beers, they may go fast

Oh well... is there limited distribution of the other cases, or kept for onsite consumption only, or?

Very limited distro to a handful of shops around the state (like a case or less of each beer, I believe). I think hitting the bee now is going to be your best bet.

Thanks for the updates, guys. Saves me a trip downtown.

Glenn, any firm details which shops in the area might get some and when? Like, maybe my favorite shop?!?

had a saison at the release

very strong 'apple pie' kind of apple flavor and not as much cherry as I would have liked

    great beer, would buy more

Did they have some cold? I'd love for this to show up in a keg at some point so I can sit in them for a while.

The bottles were pretty cool, although not quite chilled to 40 deg

We opened one of the last 4 bottles available behind the bar so the boxes had been out for over an hour

The saison was great around 55 deg

I enjoyed myself yesterday. Looking forward to cracking those bottles open. Lindley park on draft was tasting very nice. I hope there are many more busy bee collaborations.

I got a bottle of both - haven't decided what I'm gonna do with them as far as aging of whatnot, but if I do decide to crack one or both it'll most likely be at Ridgewood - I'll send you a message beforehand if I do!

I believe all of the beer was bottled

I heard there were only about 40 gallons of each beer, which equates to about 19 cases (228 bottles) of each beer

They only released 5 or 6 cases of each beer on Sunday, which makes me wonder when they will sell more

What if 100% of the bottles didn't leave hickory bound for the bee?

Heard the Bee is sitting on most of the cases. After trying the stout, I don't blame them for hoarding.

Probably not everything, but the wax stamp is the double-B logo, so I gotta imagine it's not many ending up elsewhere.

But there's also an OHB stamp in the wax. Just sayin', don't give up hope around the state at the shops with big OHB accounts.

Fun fact, there's also a BB logo on the bungs of the barrels in the label art.

Can we get some elaboration on your thoughts about the stout? Haven't cracked my bottles yet, been freaking stoked about this since I saw those barrels sitting in the front of the bee when however long ago it was.

These numbers sound about right. I assume they will just sell it at the bee for on site consumption throughout the next couple of years.....

What if the sky was green instead of blue?

I split one with three friends after leaving the bar. Great barrel character but not boozy or overwhelming. The cherry notes were subtle but noticeable and became more prominent as the beer got closer to room temperature. Still plenty of the cocoa and roasty flavors that I love in Event Horizon. I had the distinct thought as I was savoring it: "is this the best cherry stout in the U.S.?" It put the Bell's BA Cherry Stout from RRVB to shame. I'd really love to have access to more but this one seems destined for whalehood. Great beer.
