Anyone remember? My parents were trying to remember, if anyone lived in Milwaukee in the 50's and 60's there used to be a huge vat you could see from around Milwaukee. It was somewhere near maybe 35th or 34th viaduct.

Thanks again if you remember, we have searched all over.

In Newark NJ. The giant vat was for Pabst. I can't help you with Milwaukee.

Kind of a tough one with the limited info....definitely the 35th st viaduct, though. Pabst, Blatz, and Schlitz were all located on the north side of downtown, which would put them way east. My initial thought is Miller, my gut is telling me I am wrong.

Not exactly a "vat"- that was just a bottle-shaped water tower. Originally a Hoffman soda bottle, Pabst bought the Hoffman brewery in Newark in the mid-40's and eventually repainted the tower to look (vaguely) like a Pabst Blue Ribbon quart.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think Gettelman was on or around 35th and State. Miller bought them out in the 60s or 70s.

Maybe they were on the Wisconsin Av viaduct between 35th St and 44th St? You can clearly see Miller Valley/Miller brewery to the north of there.....
