Knowing everyone's luck, it will be the same day BA Mexican Cakes get released as well.

That is what I was thinking lol. It will definitely show peoples priorities if this is the case. Also spread folks out a bit.

So no bottle share the night before, which I'd already heard but was hoping they changed their mind on. Looks like bottle sharing during the release is on though, so... hopefully I make it to Fonta Flora by 3pm, unlike the last OHB release where we bottle shared a bit too hard during the release

Has anyone mentioned a bottle count? Hopefully no limits means it will last throughout the day and hopefully no waiting in lines.

I haven't heard a bottle count. But no limits... you gotta think that means they have plenty.

No bottle count released yet, though "no limit" could also mean they blow through the entire allotment in a few hours.

Also, keep in mind that this brew is allotted three ways.

Right now, there's a night-before bottle share tentatively happening before the next Spectrum release, date for that still TBD. Sharing during the actual ORF release is a go. Hopefully y'all find the right pace & can make FF that day too, so much going on in #ncbeer...

The night-before bottle shares are always tons of fun. Problem of the day-of bottle shares is there's just so much good beer to drink with whatever is on tap, plus the beer released that day, plus whatever fun bottles people bring (which is always too many). But hopefully we make it over to FF this time and not end up over at the Taproom or the Crescent Moon. Though I do love going to both places

I'm curious how much volume expansion has occurred between the three breweries over the past 5 years since it was last released. Obviously quite a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if this hits distribution throughout the state if they've got that much.

Foothills is the obvious one. They bought Carolina Beverage in Mooresville about 6 and a half years ago and then built another production facility in Winston as well. OHB has continued to add tanks in their existing space. No idea about Duck Rabbit.

Regardless, I would definitely be surprised if this his distro across the state. Maybe some very limited distro, though that as well would be somewhat surprising. I'd guess this would be more like a BASC-sized release, but with each brewery getting part of the batch.

There's a large city parking lot between the Station and the OHB brewery that will typically hold everyone. If not, there's street parking on the road across from the brewery and next to it. Parking really shouldn't be an issue.

Looks like only 120 cases at Olde Hickory (via their facebook). How long's that gonna last at no limit? My gut says not very long.

With Oskar Blues, Fonta Flora and possibly Westbrook doing big releases on Saturday, I’d imagine it would be available for a little while.

Westbrook? Assuming your talking about BA Cake, one would think ticket sales would have already happened for it to be this weekend.

Yeah, they would have already happened, and the hardywood release is not a big deal. BA GBS makes it to costco and has a case limit per trip through.

120 cases at Old Hickory should be interesting. Wonder how many cases Foothills got?

So what's everyone thinking about the new batch of ORF? Hearing from a couple folks that it ain't half bad.

Did OH Station have a keg SNAFU?

Had the kegs hooked to the wrong taps. People asked for orf and got duck rabbit milk stout.

I wasn't there but heard this from a few people

Yeah me and the group next to me we’re initially very disappointed. Then when Steven the head brewer got there, he noticed the kegs were mixed up. Everyone who was still there from intial tapping got a free pour. Other than that, the beer is very good.

ORF sold out by 12:05 at the Foothills tasting room. People were pissed because there were initially no limits. We had it on draft both Friday night and yesterday morning and thought it was excellent. I love BASC and Event Horizon and thought ORF was better that either of them.

Was a decent amount left at OHB at 1:45 or so when we left to get some food and head to FF. They said they were moving it over to the Station at 3pm for whatever was left. No idea if its still there or not if people missed out.

Think the Tasting Room (Kimwell) rolled stuff out in waves. I was there when it sold out yesterday around noon (and watched some folks buy 4 cases). But I went back last night and they had bottles for sale again in the cooler. Didn't look like a lot, but I was surprised to see any.

That’s kind of a bullshit way of handling it. One of the guys in our group sold a single bottle to a lady who missed out. The bartender told her they were sold out.

They brought more bottles from the brewpub to the tasting room after they sold out, they weren’t holding any back.
