Just saw this, seems like a great idea:

(I just noticed that the person is also in Colorado so I wanted to clarify that I have no association with the inventor, not trying to solicit funds, just thought it was a cool idea)

Its pretty sweet. Just dont know how busy of a person you have to be that you cant spare 3.5 seconds of your other hands time to use a traditional opener. Nice that it keeps the cap in good shape for those to collect them.

You're touching boobs with your other hand. That's why it's called the "gropener."

I think many of the members here could make both statements accurate.

What if the person you are groping uses the gropener so you can grope double handed and they open your beer?

    MIND BLOWN!!!

    Cheers!

I could see a busy bar tender liking this for its speed, but the magnet makes it so you would have to take an extra step to remove the cap from the opener after each bottle

God forbid I ever lose a hand or and arm, but at least I'll still be able to open beer now.

just picked one up. This might be stupid but one of the main factors is that it keeps the bottle cap flat. I love to collect bottle caps off the beers I drink and it's a pain in the ass to keep them flat when using your typical bottle opener. If everything goes right they'll be shipping 12/17.

Does anyone else already open the their bottles one handed with a tradition opener. I grip the neck with my hand and wedge the opener in their, so then I can leverage the bottle opener up while holding the neck in place with my palm. Kinda a confusing explanation but I've been doing this for awhile.

Sorry about this reference but at least two of these should be in every beer drinker's Christmas stocking.
Why two? One for each hand so you can't grope anything else.

Been there done that but I'm not capable. Lost my grip and my beer too many times.

Seen a few similar designs online, one of them got bad reviews because it strikes the side of the bottle pretty hard and causes it to foam up. At least that's what some the reviews complained about. I'm all about cool bottle openers and have fallen in love with this one: http://www.amazon.com/Ring-Thing-Bo...1352912613&sr=8-2&keywords=ring+bottle+opener

I'm not a fan of jewelry at all but I'm going to get one for my Christmas gift to myself.

if you get a tungsten carbide ring you can use that instead (its not really wide at the bottom like this ring is)... my wedding band is tungsten and i've been opening beers with it for 4+ years and there's not a scratch on it (i tell my wife that getting this ring is the reason i got married). just a thought...

I have done this in a pinch as well, only my ring is gold. It doesn't hurt the ring if you do it right. Told my wife that it was the 2nd reason I got married. LOL
