Coming to Orlando Sunday through Thursday. I plan on hitting up Knightly. What's CCB got out now that I should look for? Are there any other local or FL beers I should get?
Have you tried TBBC's Old Elephant Foot? Not bad. They also tap a cask on Thursday nights so they may have some left when you arrive on Sunday... But it's in Tampa.
Nope, never had that. "Unfortunately", I'm stuck in Orlando, otherwise I would high tail it down there.
CCB currently has out in Orlando it's normal fair of Maduro and Jai Alai, now in cans, and Tocobaga and Sugar Plum in bottle 6 packs. Bombers you'll probably still find Guava Grove, Big Sound and Warmer Winter Winter Warmer. Maybe a Good Gourd or Humidor IPA depending if you scrounge around. As for other Florida beers, look for Saison du Swamp from Swamp Head. Great, underrated beer from Gainesville and a fine brewery. Most of St. Somewhere's brews are pretty tasty too.
Just got back from Knightly on OBT, are there any other beer stores around, that would have a good selection of CCB or Swamp Head? I didn't notice any Swamp Head at OBT, but I could have overlooked it. At the OBT, I got jai alai, winter warmer, and guava grove. Didn't notice any Good Gourd or Humidor, though I'd like to pick that up if possible. I'm over by Sea World, but I have a GPS.
Try Total Wines and More at Millenia Plaza. They had a heck of a lot of great beer when I was there in September. Whole Foods on Sand Lake Road had a decent selection as well.
Swamp Head only currently bottles Saion du Swamp and no other brews at this moment. They actually just posted photos last week of them bottling, which hopefully means we'll see them on shelves in the future.
