Has anyone been to the Rochester releases yet? I want to go soon (driving in from 4.5 hours away), but want to know what time is safe to get there to get all of the beers being released. What's a safe arrival time there? Are the lines usually really long?

my favorite is during really big releases when the line to order beer is literally out the door. you guys... thats not how bars work.
short dark was great on tap the weekend it came out, but was definitely a little dead this saturday...

after hearing you all swoon over the first 'crunchee', I'm pretty psyched to try this raspberry one.

Also, just found this on the triumph hop...

"Brewers have described Triumph as having notes of “pink Bazooka bubblegum” and “peach stone fruit,” Weathers said. “That’s the feedback we’re getting from them.”

Mixed with Citra, that sounds like something I'll be purchasing as well.

There's someone in the homebrew reddit that complained about it only throwing fruit... sounds perfect!

I like how they kicked WeldWerks out of the new Crunchee.

16.9 oz, are they switching to 500 mL cans?

I wish they make these Triples in 12oz cans.

Mine too, I thought it was just old person annoyance with new words. While I am at it, still hard for me to get used to saying "hoodie" instead of sweatshirt.

Door wide open Malcolm cmon in !

back in my day, they would call anything with meat and bread a 'samuel' until those damn beatniks came in with this 'sandwich' nonsense

I was holding back from talking about “stone fruits” but since we’re having a gripe let’s go. Cherry v peaches v apricots etc - all very distinctive.

Would also say “xyz beer is drinking beautifully/marvelously” makes me want to do very bad things

And calling a pale ale a “pale”. No sorry

This made me look on Wikipedia for a better way to describe stone fruits only to find out walnuts and pistachios are botanically drupes/stone fruits and not nuts. So now most OH stouts could be described as having stone fruit flavors?

It’s the best when it’s around 2 months after xyz beer has been released. Its like a badge of honor, to either prove
    A) you’re such a bad ass you bought the full case limit and that’s why you still have that beer in your fridge or
    B) you didn’t waste all that money on the beer when it sucked drinking it for the first month, it’s finally redeemed it’s value (sort of?)

I mean a day like today calls for drinking something more worthy like that old blowing up the spot collab. Has it reached its prime yet?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this article starts out talking about how AGE is a NEIPA, wasn’t the OG recipe pretty west coast?

Ehhh, it wasn't ever bitter enough to be west coast

edit: even if early OH beers were more bitter than they are now, they didn't compare to bitter beers!
