I'm guessing emerald cities and a returning beer will be in cans next weekend, maybe the collaborations with barrier and captain Lawrence the following weekend

Was the Other Half anniversary party last night not open to the public?

Pro: I just missed Nummy Nug Nug cans and I'm excited for a chance at redemption.

Con: I have way too much god damn beer right now. Looks like I have some work to do this week.

What's the subway situation? Is the D stopping at smith/9th? I'm usually good at interpreting MTA, but their website is incomprehensible

Dancing green diamonds is a great beer but I think I prefer the regular green diamonds (didnt have the last batch that got bad reviews) Other half already makes a majority of hazy beers so a few clear beers every now and then is appreciated, fully frothed was a nice example of middle ground between hazy and clear

No goodies left on tap from last night... the simcoe/ galaxy DIPA is very good.

This 3rd Anni beer is great, they need to get this one into the rotation, too good to be a one off.

Agreed. Drinking a can as we speak...it has only gotten better over the last two weeks. Probably the juiciest OH beer I've had and it's 10%. Phenomenal stuff

DDH Broccoli is up there with the best I've had from OH. Dancing green diamonds is not. Burns too much and you really taste the 9.1. Forever simcoe was v good as well

Can someone please give me a quick rundown of Other Half can releases? Do they release two different beers in cans every Saturday? And how long do they typically last?

They have a can release ever Saturday and it has alternated between 2 cans and 4 cans every other week with a one case limit on each beer. Cans typically sell out by the afternoon on release day unless it is a less sought after beer they have released numerous times in the past (Forever Ever, Green Diamonds, Hop Showers to name a few), then it will typically last until Sunday maybe even into the week. You can expect a line of about 100-200 people before they open. If it is a big collab or a very special beer that line can be as long as 400 people.

Edit: Stouts tend to stick around for a long time. But there is no real schedule for those.

    Thank you!

I see that they open at noon. What's the safe window to make sure you get cans if they typically sell out by the afternoon? Is it necessary to be in the pre-opening lineup to ensure you get cans? Just trying to figure things out from the out-of-towner perspective...
