Does the 4th Anni label really have the McDonald's logo on it?

Shocked to see no merchandise release details ...... yet! They can generate a ton of cash for sure....

Maybe they will be selling Other Half branded frost bite kits tonight.

Had a tasting of all 3. I'll echo what everyone else has been saying. 2nd was good but didn't wow me, 3rd tasted great, just as good as I remembered it, and 4th was my favorite. Didn't taste like 10% at all.

I'm excited for this thread tomorrow morning -- I have a good feeling I'll get a brief return to the Saturday morning routine of coffee, bagel, and reading the comedic gold these things used to turn into.

The "Golden Arches" are cut off and blurred out for the can design.

Was the 3rd Anni can release crazy last year? Like, taters line wrapped around McDonalds before opening crazy?

I have DDH Cabbage at home waiting for me. Looking forward to it.

I really hope they do a non-DDH Broccoli, Cabbage and Cheddar release again. I like the non-DDH versions better.

In general I like DDH versions of beer, but I loved Mylar Bags, didn't love DDH version. I didn't love Broccoli, love DDH, liked Melcher Street, DDH Melcher Street is my favorite IPA. It can go either way for me.

Of course a “regular line guy” will say this, that’s what they have to tell themselves to not feel dumb when people like me show up at 11 and buy the same beer without wasting hours of my life in line.

Hazenfreude - the strange satisfactory feeling you get by watching people complaining about waiting on line for a hazy IPA while sitting at home with your coffee

Peak hazenfreude is achieved by doing that and then arriving at the brewery to purchase said hazy IPA with no line

Same usually goes for me. Like DMD and ACE, I prefer the DDH’s of those. But for some reason I liked the non-DDH’s of the vegetables.

Just a point of beer nerd clarification and order-high flocculation=clearer and low flocc=cloudier/"hazier"

ha no, he's on here though...

hey yo, it's just a Jersey misunderstanding.

Back to the anni. I'm thinking they brewed a bunch of quad. Still going to try and make it around 8:30 and see the madness plus hopefully get some third.

Depends, large dry hopping during active fermentation will aid in a high flocculation yeast being hazy. Hazy NEIPA generally use medium/high flocculation yeast.

    b-mc-g Initiate (0) Mar 12, 2014 Maryland

Yea true dry hopping and fermentation temps play a large role. The yeast used is technically a med/high flocc usually but the conditions play a huge role like anything in brewing.

Was there ever any confirmation on batch sizes or all speculative?

They had it for sale in Brooklyn too...I think it was two weeks ago...for the same price. I'm willing to pay an ungodly amount on a regular basis for beer, and I really love the 4th anniv. logo, but that's a bit unreasonable for an unsigned, unframed poster.

From people I've spoken with who have pretty reputable sources, they brewed a ridiculous amount of 4th. Reports on 2nd and 3rd batch size have been inconsistent.

So to answer your question, still speculative.
