crazy how distro falls off for everything after salinas (everything in general, not just beer.) because there is not much on the roads between Salinas, and SLO. Fresh sucks all the time here. Thanks for the help!

    Hey Rainer,

I'll be on the 2 PM tour as well. Should be arriving in Paso around noon. I'll be the guy in a beer related t-shirt or sweatshirt, drinking a beer, so if you see me say hello! ;)

Yeah, but afterward n Buelton you can go to Andersen's and get split pea soup, so I think you truly win.

That was the worst... it was between 101 and 104 for like a week or so.
I remember lugging 20 5 gallon buckets of paint up 4 floors and then tileing all day wit sweat just dripping everywhere. Humidity is a bitch!! GO HAWKS!!!

Am I a retard for just spending 60$ for 2 bottles of sucaba? I payed over the phone with a card, but the store is doing me a huge favor and holding both bottles for at least a month. I won't be able to pick them up till I'm in the area (8 hours away). I love English barleywines and don't get Firestone distribution in Ohio. I think it was worth it, but I still feel like that's a lot of money!

yes because my shop has easily 6 left at 23.99 per and I'd have shipped to you. .02.

    "retard" is also pretty harsh.

Ha! Us Gauttes do like our beers.....you should try Gallo Cerveza. They have a BBA variant, comes in a box just like the Parabola and Abacus. Will be hitting shelves very soon.

Meh. Over Parabola. Had it twice and didn't quite 'get' it. However, cannot WAIT until Double DBA comes out in July! (I'm totally serious, for what it's worth). I probably won't buy another Parabola, but Double DBA and Sucaba are now permanently on my 'buy and forget about the bottles for a year' list.

I didnt think KBS was that hard to get in Chicago. Sure I couldn't pick up a case or anything, but I was able to get 6 bottles thie year without too much effort and just keeping an eye on beermenus

Anyone have an idea of what the pricing will be like? Comparable to Sucaba?

I'm so glad my roommate came with me. I wouldn't have been able to try the parabojava since I would've had to drive home... (I'm a lightweight. Laugh at me now)

They should make a bourbon barrel aged Parabola.

It will be. It is basically 15 a glass, which is what you would pay at a bar or restaurant.

Sucaba is gone here in Cali as far as I know.

Apparently Parabola is the easiest to obtain.

They still had Sucaba at Barrelworks yesterday as well. I think Sucaba is 14.99 and Parabola is 16.99.

If anyone is looking for 2013 Sucaba, store by me still has plenty at $19/bottle (no tax). BM me if interested in a trade.

Haha, no, I think by the time the tour started I had ditched my Pliny sweatshirt and was wearing a yellow Dr. Gonzo T-shirt (real inconspicuous, I know!).

And just to re-iterate what everyone else said, that ParaboJava was amazing. I too tried to get a howler filled and was denied. It was nice to try that next to both the 12 and the 13 though.

For everyone asking about bottles at the Paso location:

2012 & 2103 Parabola were available in a gift box set (including 2 FW Rastal Tulips)
2013 Parabola was available that day - no bottle limit, now at a 6 bottle limit
2013 Sucaba was available that day, they had lots, so not sure if it sold out or not
XVI was available that day, no bottle limit

In the Taproom Restaurant, they also had bottles of XIII, XIV, and XV as well as DDBA.

    I came home with this:
