Grabbed 3 at the Westgate location in San Jose, so they most definitely had it. No clue which disty they use however, so maybe it came from different pallets than your homies

That might have more to do with how BevMo orders than with the distributor itself.

No. But BEVMO in Encinitas should be getting it tomorrow. 1 bottle limit. And Whole Foods is getting some also... I am sure Royal Liquors is getting some but they jack their prices up too much...

I think I was the first person in today since I work close by. When I asked to buy some the lady asked me how many I wanted and I said "how many will you sell me?" which prompted her to give me a weird look like she wasn't expecting people to buy a lot at $16 a bottle. She said three, which was fine since I wasn't going to get more than four. She went to the back and got three and then I bought them from a different cashier; after I was walking out, she randomly came back and told me that "if I came back later" the limit would be changing to one (which struck me as a weird thing to tell me) Later on a friend went over there and was only allowed one bottle, which was around two hours later.

Yikes, a friend and I both ordered 2 each on the Bevmo website to be picked up at the La Jolla store seeing as all the ones near me already sold out and I work in La Jolla. Didn't get any prompt about one bottle or anything online. Really hope I'm still able to walk out with 2 tomorrow

Did you just figure that out? Or are you visiting and surprised? I used to buy the 10th and 11th anniversary ales at my quickie mart in shell beach when I lived there. Definitely lots of local dist.

Just because they have 6 on the shelf doesn't mean they only have 6. A lot of liquor stores don't put every single bottle out on display, especially a release like Parabola where they don't need to advertise that it exists at all. Now that every brand has like 5 separate brands, shelf space is at a premium.

Reminds me of when Anniversary XVI came out. A guy at Total Wine said they had a case and asked if I wanted the whole thing. Then when I tried to check out, I was told I could only have one. I explained that another employee gave me the entire case. The manager came over and explained that I could only buy one. I said that I'd already been told I could buy the entire case, but that I would compromise if they sold me two. They grudgingly sold me two.

Just picked up one in Sorrento Valley. All spoken for, though. BevMo in Mira Mesa expects them early next week.

I assume that was Sorrento Wine and Liquor? I stopped looking there after they asked for $24.99 for Sucaba. Did they upcharge still or did the Firestone Police I saw there put a stop to that?

Yeah, exactly. I go there all the time because it's right by work, but they are expensive as shit. They charged $19.99 for the Parabola.. So, maybe a few bucks more than normal. I guess their location can dictate the higher price.

On a related note, if you are going to pick up in BevMo La Jolla (don't think they still have any unclaimed bottles, but I was being good BA and didn't ask), they had a few bottles of Sucaba out on the shelf. Interesting. Given that I saw Bristol Farms roll out a few bottles of that last week, I have to think that they might have delivered a few more cases to select people - I don't see either of those places sitting on bottles that long.

They're out of Parabola now. (The guy that got me the bottles did try to "upsell" me on the Sucaba, not that I have any storage space for it, or wanted to blow Parabola money on it.)

Yeah, they're near where I get lunch since there's nowhere else to eat when you work in Sorrento Valley, so I go in there, but I don't buy much. They had a lot of Silva Stout for a while, but it was pretty expensive so I couldn't afford to buy much of it.

BevMo is hit and miss in North County San Diego. I went to 3 shops today, one had it. The other 2 claim it will be here next week. One bottle limit.
