It's more common than you think. After the initial hype of seeking it out, most places that have it in the back just don't get asked about it. It happens all the time at WF. You ask for it come a few weeks before the next year's release and they may gave you last year's vintage.

If you're interested, they have it at Beverage Warehouse for ~$24.

No Parabola there yet, seems like most of the places I've checked in the area are expecting it next week.

Sunset Beer Company posted that they got some Michael in last week. Was kinda surprised, didn't realize it was even distributed. Sadly, I was at work... Grumble grumble.. .

Nice. I think Parabola is the beer you most bring over to my place, and that's never a bad thing.

Marc and I are starting our Parabola collection this year with 3 bottles so far.

I don't know if it is worth the drive to you, but the Temecula and Murrieta BevMo still show it in stock online.

I would assume bevmo would get it the same day, I can't speak for em, but I'm placing orders now and got confirmation it's showing up tuesday (sf whole foods) Allocations are sparse this year... buy them quick.

I appreciate the update and will be passing through SF tomorrow. Never been to a WF there and the parking is a cluster, is there a best/easiest one to go to?

  23. DOTU

    DOTU Feb 11, 2011 California

There is parking at both WF at California and Franklin and Potrero, but the former is way closer to the bridge.

Anyone seen it around San Jose area? I know Kelly's liquors in SJ and Bobby's Liquor in Santa Clara had it but it was sold out before I had a chance. All my other sources have not received it yet.

San jose whole foods and bevmos got it last week (wed/thur). I guess the smaller bottle shops did too. :(

Maakies was right on the mark. He had fresh Parabola available by noon at the Noe Valley Whole Foods on 24th St. in SF, with a reasonable 3 bottle limit. Thanks man! I made my way over to the California St. WF and picked up two more for a Michigan BA from behind the cheese counter--ask for it there and they have a two bottle limit.

    Cheers and happy hunting!

Is this a "ha, ha" message, or are you going to share where you picked it up (and why they seemingly have no bottle limit)?

oops, sorry. Total Wine, HB is 1 bottle limit. The guy at BevMo HB told me he would sell me an entire case, but I opted for 3 units.

I'm certain that all BevMo and TW in OC are getting it today.

    TW HB = $13.99
    BevMo HB = $15.99
