Looking for information on this beer. When is it released? How often? Do they bottle it? How hard is it to get? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks and Cheers,
    Jeff

Good luck man. Read the other recent Funky Buddah thread.

Well, it's funny you should ask. I was there yesterday and Ryan himself told me it was being released next week.
They were tapping a keg of Key Lime Pie Berliner last night, but I had to leave so I didn't get to try it. I have a feeling they might still have some left. I'll try tomorrow after I mow the lawn.
Just love me a Berliner on a hot summer day after yard work!

Oh crap! Well I just checked their site and they have Passionfruit on now! Can anybody grab me a growler? Can trade Tired Hands growlers. Also have a Night Shift Somer Weisse bottle

Good to know. A friend of a friend lives near that location. So they are tapping it tomorrow night?

Funky Buddha only growlers regular beers and a few rotating or special ones (excluding tuesday releases). I don't see this one being something they will let you growler unless they do a limited release this Tuesday

Cody is correct. They have special releases on Tuesdays and sometimes they do growlers (32oz) of this, one per customer.

I happened to be there Thurs night when they tapped the Key Lime Berliner. It was gone in like 20 minutes but I got a snifter of it...was amazing!

Didn't they have some kind of issue with that keg?

I had Passionfruit berliner back in December when I went to the lounge. It was fantastic, for sure. I wish the brewery did more fruited berliners...

Had this at key west beer fest yesterday. It really was quite phenomenal.

Perhaps they had an issue because there wasn't that many people in the bar at the time and it was gone very quickly. I don't think anybody got more than 1 glass of it.

Out of curiosity, did they allow growlers of this today?

They have been putting one special release beer on the growler station (32 oz fills only) every Tuesday. Today's was Bonita Applebum.

I would love to see them put one of their Berlinerweisses on the growler station, though.

How similar are their Berliners to Wakefield's? If memory serves me correct, there is a relation there? or was it CCB that had the relationship at one point?
I've only had two Florida Berliners in my life. Both are the best two beers I've ever had. Both were Wakefield's.

I haven't had any of Wakefield's yet (unfortunately) but I think the idea is the same (brewed with tropical fruit). Wakefield did a collaboration beer with CCB that was a Guava Berlinerweiss, if I remember correctly. Would love to try that one. And I already said it, but Funky Buddha's Key Lime Berliner was amazing. Hits you in the face with sour lime then you actually taste like a graham cracker crust then it finishes sweet.

Ive had a few of Wakefields Berliners and numerous Funky Buddha Berliners. Wakefields are very, very good but Funky Buddha is in a whole other league. Truly world class Berliners. They just kill it in that style. Just my opinion. Would love to see them do some bottles and or growlers.
