Here are the details about our Barrel-aged Abraxas Release....

January will kick off a five month run in which Perennial Artisan Ales will release a different barrel-aged beer each month, beginning with Barrel-aged Abraxas. It will be released at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 24th and will be available only in our tasting room. It will be sold on a first come, first serve basis for $23/750 ml bottle with a six bottle limit per person. Barrel-aged Abraxas is an Imperial Stout aged for one year in Rittenhouse Rye barrels with cacao nibs, cinnamon sticks, ancho chiles & vanilla beans. Barrel-aged Abraxas took home a silver medal in the Experimental Beer Category at the Festival of Wood and Barrel-aged Beers in Chicago in 2012.

    Thanks so much!

If there are any locals who would be able to "trustee" these releases for a combination of beer and currency, BM me.

Will any of these be bottled? Trying to visit a friend in St. Louis, and any of these would be an even better excuse to make it down.

Pretty sure they are all being bottled

You guys should just send all these bottles to Chicago and totally snub the locals again:rolleyes:

Hopefully they serve some while you are waiting on line out in the cold. Alchemist does it while waiting for Heady...
If anyone is interested.... I would send $ ahead of time for a bottle, then return a box filled with treats. One bolttle would be good enough, possibly two for the March Mint Chocolate. If anyone is interested BM me.

$23 is crazy! Considering that's what Abraxas costs in Chicago. I expected it to be at least $30. Luckies!

I don't even have 16 friends I could convince to come with me. This is both impressive and scummy at the same time.

They weren't even friends. Total randoms that didn't even look like they were there for themselves. It looked like he put an ad out on Craigslist or something.

His name is matt rittenberg and yes it is true, He paid random people on the street to stand in line for him to get 60+ bottles. Extremely dick move on his part and I hope no one trades with this guy for this shitty move on his part. Soon as he got the bottles he started asking for whales and such.

It definitely appeared there was a dude texting random people that walked in off the street. I was fairly early in line and after I got my bottles I walked through the line again and there were at least 4-5 people in line that very obviously did not know what they were buying. It seriously looked like this guy just pulled junkies off the street. That said, I know almost all of my friends got bottles and we made sure those who weren't there got hooked up. If this dude really got as many bottles as people are saying I hope karma comes back to get him.

On a brighter note, this was an extremely well run event. Perennial could not have done a better job, especially given they've never done anything like this before. Massive kudos to them.
