Why aren't their beers distro'd in PA usually? FL isn't thaaat far....

Also can anyone suggest a Center City/Rittenhouse spot to hit tonight? My girlfriend has time to grab just a round or two, in this area, and I wanna make it count. Nothing seems to stand out...I guess Avery at Pistolas...? Oskar Blues at Bar...or the Flying Fish charity for cats at Doobies...what else?

Haven't been to any events due to a move, however, I have noticed how many great brews are being reserved for Hawthorne's, The Cambridge & Bainbridge Street Barrel House. Throw in Devil's Den and you have one family and their friends controlling a substantial amount of good beer. I must not be the only one noticing this as two friends who operate bars have made similar comments about certain brewers beings shuffled towards particular establishments this year.

By the way, Philly hugely surpassed my expectations. I never knew the beer stores carried so much more than NY. Deschuttes, Bells, Great Lakes. Bought a mix of all those including Russian River.

In addition to that, I was able to have Pliny, Blind Pig, Cantillon, and Funky Buddha.

Don't worry. In case anyone was wondering; I have enough tinfoil to go around. No worries.

Any other events over the lunch hour/starting early afternoon that maybe I'm missing for tomorrow? Coming in via Market East and trying to hit some stuff in walking distance.

Jose Pistola's - Jolly Pumpkin lunch
    Farmer's Cabinet - UK beers
Monk's - no event listed but so damn close

Anyone know of anything else maybe off the radar? I didn't see too much on the calendar. I'd love to get to maybe Resurrection or something but it's a bit out of the way from where we're taking the train to. I'd rather not cab it, either. Certainly heading back to Teresa's then for the Pliny $2 pours.

Everything but Nib Smuggler kicked by 10pm that night, and that was probably gone soon afterwards. I was pleasantly surprised I had the chance to enjoy all of the FB offerings and I'm already looking forward to what they have in store for us next year! (Plus, I loved the vibe of the Churchville Inn: they have found a new regular customer!)
