    Sorting through my paper files - arranged mostly by brewery, state or country plus I have two big "general" folders marked "Brewing Industry" and "Misc. Beer articles" :rolling_eyes: "Oh, Thanks." - while looking for something else (which I did not find) and came across the Playboy article in question, "A Heady History of Beer" by Ronald Schiller, from September 1972.

    Looks like Weiner's book also misspelled the brewmaster's name as Hlavacek, rather than Playboy's Hlavecek (which hasn't helped searches).

    Uh, apparently I did find it...:grimacing:
