According to a certain ticking app, the 6th annual Steel City Big Pour is really the place to be right now.

If by "place to be" you mean "if you want to be disappointed" than i would agree.

How can you make such a statement without actually attending? I wasn't disappointed at all...great fun.

And if by "right now" I mean "in 2012", which is when Big Pour 6 actually took place.

Arsenal's ciders are great. I'd drink them over a number of beers on the list.

Agreed. But my "growler ranking" leaves something to be desired.

The Couch IPA (whatever the fuck it was called) is awful.

I was surprised by Dancing Gnome...good IPA, good coffee stout. Interest piqued

Went to House of 100 beers today for a local six pack for a trade. Got to try Draai ESC and Voodoo Pizza Party and both were great. I'm glad I drank them before I found out my six pack cost 18$... Also, I hadn't been there in a while and was pleasantly surprised by the new look. I'm just very disappointed by the selection and price. No more decent priced mix six and the overall amount of to go beer (minus the cold selection that hasn't changed) was small. I'm not knocking the place because I feel they are moving in a more bar/restaurant direction, but I'll most likely not drive the 40 minutes there for to go beer anymore.
