I left around 4:30 and there were only 10-12 people who had come in to get bottles. But that was also almost 2 hours ago.

Left Meadville about 30 minutes ago. Appeared to be about 6-7 cases left.

Impossible. There is no homer like a yinzer homer. They apparently can't take time from all the rah rah bullshit to write a review though.

Due to a hiccup in my funding source, i.e., Powerball, my fast track plans for a brewery have come to a screeching halt. You folks will have to keep enjoying my beer for free for the foreseeable future.

Proposed space is right near where Gypsy Café used to be. Looks like Hitchhiker has a new offering, touted as their best yet. Thought Barbarian was a nice step up, so I'll stop by for this one.

I'll never understand why people care about that. I couldn't possibly care less about the color/clarity of a beer, are long as it smells and tastes good.

Assuming it's linked to fruit? Jungle Juiced Head Hunter and Troegs Triple Mango are two localish examples of yummy (but acceptable in my book) turbidity.

Then there's that recent Nightmare I keep having in Braddock; tasty as well.

    We make clear beer too.
No fruit, haze is due to hops in the whirlpool and dry hop additions. Juicy character is a combination of the hops and yeast.

I'll note if a beer is really pretty (Pliny for example) but I'm not going to shy away from a beer because it's not.

They aren't technically the first, but I share your surprise that it took this long for a local start up (in modern times) to sprout up there.

Don't know if any else saw this, but apparently Couch Brewing is planning to open shop in Larimer, not Irwin as was previously assumed.

I'm kind of psyched that BA is digitizing back issues. Really interested to read the original Pittsburgh spotlight from back whenever (before I was a subscriber, anyway).

All brewing operations will be moved to the South Side. We are allowed three locations with our license but only one of those can be producing beer. We will keep the current location open as a tap room. All details will be announced tomorrow afternoon.

    P.S. Mizzz you. XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

I would like to start a discussion now that most of us have had a chance to try the BTGNVP. What are everyone's thoughts compared to the original ABGNVP? I noticed that the BA score for the original is only a 91 and was a bit surprised by this. Personally I think that the AB barrel added another level of complexity to the beer, and I didnt notice much barrel character from the BT barrel. I will admit that all of the other beers that VooDoo has done in BT barrels takes a backseat to other barrel treatments. I beginning to wonder if just maybe BT barrels dont lend a lot of characteristics to beers? I also think that there was more heat (pepper spice) on the most recent batch compared to its predecessor. I will chalk this up as a good thing, as I dont think it was overpowering. I am looking forward to do a side by side comparison with each in the future.

How about we only talk about the positives until we all trade ours away then talk about the negatives?

Going to ask the octogenarian busboy at the Original Oyster House if he remembers any from your list. I'm suspicious.
