Hahahah. That's like 7 minutes from my new place. I'll be there. Kinda odd though.

@mps I've found in beer trading, if you wait to trade the beer, it's always usually tougher than being the first to do so. Just personal preferance.I'm not planning on trading my set by any means because they sound anazing, but will I possibly ship 1 black magick if it also helps me try something else great. Of course, I love great beer and unfortunately in the pitt/ohio area we don't have much trade bait for most of the year outside of voodoo barrelroom and hopjuju

Haha certainly not salty, more like I am laughing at how concerned you seem to be on what stuff trades/how rare it is for rather than how it tastes. I have a set coming and I don't give two shits how they trade. This is one of the most awesome releases I've seen in a while. You can talk about how they should trade and maybe they will trade that way. However, how a beer should trade is often different from how it does. Good luck trying to land KBBS with these.

I think you are confusing the "first one" with the "third one". I remember you talking about these trades from the Barrel Room III collection, not the first Barrel Room release in 2013. And yeah, you made out on those trades.

Thank gawd someone feels the same about them as me. I wish Rivertowne would just go away. Also, it's pulling down Rivertown in OH with confusion. haha

    2 things

KBBS and BA Abraxas trade on VERY, VERY different levels. You can't get a KBBS for 2 BA Abraxas. 3 is probably even a stretch. Don't compare the 2.

Should BM and MBP trade at a BA Abraxas level? Well, who knows. No one has tried them yet. But if they are as great as we think they are going to be, then they will trade as well as we let them.

Didn't realize OH had an RT as well until visiting Cincy last weekend--inspecting the foreign cans and wondering where the hell the "e" went. This seems like a legal issue waiting to happen.

Careful everyone...the brewer at Rivertowne is the wife of the brewer at Spoonwood...

Or rather (feminist phrasing) Spoonwood's brewer is the husband of the brewer at Rivertowne.

Furthermore, the brewers at Rivertowne and Spoonwood are married to each other, if you're planning on having a share there it might not behoove you to bad mouth Rivertowne.

I'm sure they know enough about this community/thread/beer culture to not give a shit about people with negative opinions about their products. Personally, I love sushi, but some dipshits do not, but you don't see me calling them out on it, do you?

Sure fair enough. But maybe they care just enough to not do everyone a favor and open especially for them and tap a special keg they are saving.

Speaking of sushi though, have you been to Chaya? That's next on my list.

The service at that place is some of the worst i've ever experienced and the food is terrible. I'm willing to drink average beer as long as the rest of the package isn't a mess. It shouldn't be very hard for Southern Tier to outdo them.

I'll definitely try it. PGH needs more sushi options. Fukuda was crazy good when it first opened. I love Penn Ave Fish Co and their chirashi bowl. Also stoked for Umami opening its doors.

Also, I like Kiuchi beer, which I guess goes good with sushi

It's one of the better places in Pittsburgh. I prefer Chaya, but food wise it is a lot like Little Tokyo, with slightly higher prices. The decor is a lot cooler than Little Tokyo though.
