    All,

I got stuck at work out here in NC and will miss the last flight out of RDU tonight. I am staying at one of the airport hotels and have a car rental.

I'm not looking for the mecca of bars. Just a decent place where I can tick some NC locals that don't make their way to VA. The closer to the airport, the better.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chad

In brier creek you have Brixx closest, but Tyler's taproom has better selection but a bit further of a drive in Durham or Raleigh (has a bottle shop). About thirty minutes from RDU there is Busy Bee cafe, which is close to Raleigh times too!

I believe your best option, honestly, would be to drive to downtown Durham and hit up Tyler's. Take Durham Freeway 147 right into downtown and Tylers is right by DBAP (baseball stadium), easy on and off 147, plenty of parking and not a long drive from RDU.

147 is four or five exits from RDU exit I believe. It would more than likely be worth the trip for the beer, food and atmosphere.

You can go the other way and head toward Durham and Chapel Hill. Bull City Burger & Brewery isnt too far and is always good.

If youre dead set on raleigh, then Bottle Revolution is closer than Busy Bee. They have a ton of stuff and Ted is a good guy. 4 drafts and a great bottle selection.

There's a new Tyler's in downtown Raleigh that might be worth checking out along with Brewmasters, Busy Bee, and a few other options. Brixx (at least the ones I've been to have a tame tap selection). Busy Bee seems to get a lot of special draft releases.

I can't believe no one mentioned Lonerider Brewing Company and I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. It is literally 5 mins from the airport and the taproom was open at 5pm. They tapped their new seasonal, Mad Doc, weizenbock which is quite tasty.

    Isn't Roth nearby, too?
