I'm traveling to St. Augustine for a week beginning Saturday for a family reunion. Just wondering if there are any liquor stores I should know of that carry a wide variety of craft beer. I'm from Colorado where we don't sell much liquor in grocery stores and none in gas stations, so I know that I can find some stuff in places like Publix, etc. However we're a big beer drinking family, especially the IPAs. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The best variety in St Augustine is at Broudy's at Cobblestone. The ABC's in town and the other Broudy's location aren't good for anything. Be sure to pick up Intuition's I-10 IPA! As a matter of fact, if you are in St Aug for a week, make a run up to Jax and visit Intuition brewing, along with Engine 15, Green Room, Beer:30 bottle shop, and Kickbacks(always an awesome tap list).

Agreed, but if you make the trip to Jacksonville, make sure to hit Grassroots Natural Market as well - best specialty selection in the greater Jax area by far in my opinion (no offense, Warren). I still can't figure out why everyone forgets/skips it. It's right by Intuition, Bold City, Kickback's, and Beer:30.

I can't speak to the retail stores, but as for bars in St. Augustine, JP Henley's is pretty sweet and right near the main historic/touristy drag, right by A1A Aleworks. I also dig Stogies - a pretty good selection, usually decent drafts, and you can do a nice cigar if that's your thing. If you're not cool with cigars/cigar smoke, then skip Stogies.

Thanks for the help! I'll be sure to hit up these places. Not sure if I will make it to Jacksonville (flying into Orlando) but I will definitely try.
