I work(ed) in New York but haven't had a shift in nearly two months. On Tuesday, I went to the city for the first time since my last night on the streets and picked up the Other Half, Greenpoint, and Interboro variants of the All Together and then today, I traded for the Magnify, Carton, Oyster Creek, Icarus, and KCBC takes on it. Of course, that got me wondering who else was attempting to rate more than one on here!

Well, if those of us not in "The Center of All Important Things" knew what these were, it might have an impact on our votes.

    So, I voted None.

I was just thinking this last night. One of my locals was selling 4 packs and I got one. I'm not seeking it out, but if I see it and can support local, I'll get it.

Maybe this is a dumb question...Are the variants supposed to all be the same? As in, did Other Half forward along a recipe to other brewers? Or is there "artistic freedom" among different brewers who are part of the collaboration?

It's a worldwide collaboration project started by Other Half that aims to provide relief to the beer industry, with a portion of proceeds going towards supporting hospitality professionals in their respective communities.

"The base recipe has been contributed by Other Half Brewing. It was designed to be easily brewed with fairly common ingredients most brewers can obtain but please feel free to add your own twist."

This is a very noble cause. Wonder why it hasn't been publicized more by other brewers, etc. Maybe it has been but it's been drowned out by whats happening all around us right now. Or I just flat out missed the news (I don't drink or look at Other Half announcements/releases).

It's charity provided by Other Half teaching the noob nano's across the country how to make a decent NEIPA so each local community will actually have people that will want to drink the beer at home due to high quality and great taste...instead of posturing with the the hard seltzers and low cal beers on trivia nights in the tap room. Thank you Other Half!

So I guess you're saying that:
Liechtenstein is not in "The Center of All Important Things."

I have two reactions to that:
    1. Its location suggests otherwise.
    2. Surely you are forgetting that the title of Liechtenstein's national anthem is "The Center of All Important Things."

Literally every brewer around here is producing and publicizing. I figured it was the same throughout the US and other beer centric countries.

I purchased two VT options, Foam and River Roost. I’ve had the opportunity to buy/get about 10 other options but haven’t yet.

There's only one brewery in MN (that I am aware of) that is participating: Wild Mind Artisan Ales, and I only know about that because I am on their email list.

If others are participating, it has been very low key.

From the All Together website, it looks like there are a half dozen or so participating breweries in MN, but, still, it is very low key so far.

Chicago is either first or among the top 2 or 3 in number of breweries in America. Of the 5 listed as participating, only one brewery actually listed has brewed.

Interesting some of the areas that do not seem to have participating breweries, there are 3 in my immediate area that have made this beer, and two so close I can walk to them.
It's a nice idea, hopefully most can try/support it.

Is there a link showing who is making this in each state. I would like to look and see who in AZ is. If the link was somewhere and I missed it sorry, just curious to see if I can score a few items locally to help the cause.
    Cheers

Edit, LOL I just found the link and local guys. Disregard this post :stuck_out_tongue:

I voted none, because I don't rate beers (often.)
However, if I see it out and about, I'll certainly pick some up to support my local breweries
I'm also looking at the homebrew recipe and I;m considering brewing up a batch. I'll need a few things, especially the Mosaic hops, but most of the others I have in stock.

Map shows two breweries in my state, who don’t really do this sort of thing so we’ll see if they even release the beers.
I know of one other locally who said they brewed this up last week. I have no inherent desire to try

And why try all of them? To see how technically superior or flawed some breweries are by brewing the same product? I didn’t see anyone trying to obtain all the fire resilience beers last year.
Are many really putting their own twist on the beer? That defeats the purpose imho.

this just reeks of boredom. Sorry.

Op, I bet you try five and realize they are all the same and give up the quest to try them all

The two I tried tasted quite different and appear to be base recipe. The images on Untappd range from bright yellow to turbid orange.
Interesting to see how the different breweries water, technique and yeast strains change the beer recipe.

When first I learn of this, it was exciting. Both for the cause, and the opportunity to see how variations, on a base recipe, would showcase the artistry of many breweries.

Unfortunately, even with many local variants, they were brewed in such small batches that they quickly became unavailable. And, from what I have heard, brewers are essentially brewing as close to the base recipe as available ingredients allow. Seems like a missed opportunity. Understandable, given the current economy, yet still, hopefully, the cause will benefit.

I have tried and reviewed only one.

    BTW...

Less than 70 are even listed here, only about 50 have ratings, 22 with multiple ratings, about 32 total reviews (less then 10 with multiple reviews).

    https://www.beeradvocate.com/search/?start=0&q=All+Together&type=beer

Far too few to really form any valuable judgments. And I haven’t read them all yet anyway. I do need to post my review though.

You can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a brewery around here making one. I’ve had one (Bellwoods)x and have one on order arriving on Tuesday (Willibald). I’ve missed five or six already. I’m guessing I will have had 4 or 5 by the time this is done. I’m curious to see how the ones I try might differ.

I've only seen two (both NEIPA variants) and haven't seen any others.

So far, the two I've tried are okay at best. I'd like to try a few more since they recipe concept (as I understand it) certainly allows for variance. And I'd really like to find a west coast IPA version, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

And if I find other NEIPA variants and they come across much like the first two, I am sure I'll pass on others barring some sort of exceptional buzz or inside scoop on a particular beer.

Have tried two from IL. One from Phase Three and one today from Mikerphone. Both good beers imo. I give the slight nod to the one from Mikerphone. Would be interested in trying a WCIPA take on the recipe but not sure if any of the IL breweries are going this route. In any event, good cause I'm happy to support. Cheers to Other Half for leading the effort and for all the breweries supporting it.

That was one of the ones I was hoping to get from here in Jersey, along with Bolero Snort. I was able to get the LIC, Fifth Hammer, and Threes iterations last week and I've been checking the All Together website to see if any more breweries around here plan on releasing over the next few weeks.

I haven't seen many of them here in Maine. Bissell Brothers, Equilibrium, and a small handful of local breweries have dropped some - maybe 4 so far? I've only tried the Bissell "variant" thus far, but for what it's worth, it was shockingly delicious. As in, the single best Bissell IPA I've ever had.

If the others are just as good, I'll grab any of them that I can find. If for nothing else but to support the cause. Good on Other Half for spearheading this.
