Did any of you fine BA's attend yesterday? If so, what did you think and what are your recommendations? (Good and bad. "Avoid at all costs" is just as useful as "Try this immediately".) Any of you planning on going today? The wife and I are heading over, and should be there around 1:00 or thereabouts.
I went last year on saturday afternoon around that time and they had run out of most of their fresh hop beers even though they were still selling tickets. They made an emergency run to some local brewers for more beer, most of which weren't even fresh hop beers (13 virtues mostly). I'd recommend being sure they have fresh hop beer before buying tickets. If I ever went again i'd do friday for sure. Hopefully they have plans to fix last year's problems.
The last two years its exactly what is said above. Almost every keg is drained Friday night, then after about 30m on Saturday you start watching a beer crossed off the board every 2 minutes. Totally unprofessional situation, will never go again.
Thanks for the input, folks. We got a late start, and stopped at Apex, so I'm thinking we're just going to stay right here and have a mini Barley Brown's fest instead.
