Myself and 3 other friends/BA's did some work this weekend.
Awesome pics. It may have already been mentioned, but what year was the st lamvinus? I have a 2011 that I'm gonna crack next week..
2011 lamvinus is probably always good but had my last one recently and I loved it. Very tasty
You drink well... Killer Kuhnhenn brews recently. I'd love to get my hands on a vintage iris sooner or later...
This was last Saturday! I can't imagine having a more epic beer tasting or a more violent hangover than that. Totally worth it!
Where did you get 07 pappy bcs and how did you hold on to a GI imperial IPA so long??
You're replying to the wrong person. And 07 Pappy BCBS is a myth.
Full Eclipse vertical thanks to DarthKostrizer and friends [/quote]
That's a purdy sight right there
Any consensus favorites on the Eclipses?? Also how was the Iced? That's one of my personal whales that I don't think I'll ever get to try.
Fun little get-together last night with the group.
Highlight of the night for me:
Those beers are fantastic.
I really want to buy one. I got in touch with someone on here who can get it off the shelf for me, but its hard to me to drop almost $50 + shipping for one beer. The most I have spent so far is about $30
That price is pretty hard to swallow. Luckily, I have been able to try the Copper and Silver ones at bottleshares. Still waiting for the Gold.
I've bought my bottles off the shelf for $40 each. (The Gold I got for 32 euros in Paris, so around the same price). Totally worth it.
Gold is my favorite of the three - it's slightly drier and has a slightly lighter feel than the Silver and Copper, which are somewhat syrupy. I have an XFume waiting to be opened also.
I will post pictures later but this is my bday tasting happening today with a bunch of friends:

Which Sobrehumano do you have? The Jolly Pumpkin produced one or the Maui one?
Also that Beer Geek Weasel is an amazing beer.
And here is the graveyard from the tasting above. Some people didn't show so couldn't make it through my planned list.
I have the Jolly pumpkin version, we don't get Maui up here. But if you have one and would like a JP, we can trade!
Small one for my birthday yesterday.
You're not missing much. I dd not care for the Maui version. It was fun to try them side by side.
A friend and his wife came over on Saturday. He and I took care of all but the Dark o'the Moon, Schlafly, and Punkin. I took care of them tonight.

Thanks to all the goddamn generous people (thetomg, spycow, tnudish, yeahnatenelson, mishuggah, bauermj, readbaron, others) who shared these for my 30th birthday and no thanks to MasterSki for bringing Ghost Scorpion.
Our biggest mistake was starting with Bourbon County Rare. Everything after that wasn't anywhere nearly as good in comparison.
Drank these over a 4 hour time period paired with different cheeses other foods which would compliment them. My favorite tastings are with a low amount of bottles and low amount of people over a longer time span.
A couple of tastings from this year.
Quality > quantity, as they say.
night falls is some vile stuff
An Epic tasting with three friends. The Rare was the best!
At Valpo Brew fest!
Who cares what we drank! Friends are the best!!
Old Growth is on the "bad" list?? And Ghost Scorpion too? Wish I had been there, I would have taken the dregs.

So i see you got to try CBS the one you always wanted as you said in other threads...so did it live up to the hype for you Hanzo?
Yes and no. The rumors of the maple being faded were true, I still got it, but it was very very faint. I'd love to try this fresh. That said, even without a solid maple presence I still think it was a very delicious beer.
