What did you think of the BA Blackout? I found that to be one kick ass beer.

 

It was amazing. I am a big fan of regular Blackout, so I was very excited to try the BA version. Lived up to my expectations for sure.

Holy shit.

 

Here is the Founders tasting my wife and I held last night. It took us a while to accumulate all these. It was well worth it.

 

This upland lineup looks awesome! Makes my mouth water. What was the favorite? ...edit: sorry, just noticed comment about Sour Reserve being highlight. Looking forward to cracking mine.

 

Was invited to a very cool tasting with local beer industry people (distributors, craft beer bar owners/bartenders, brewers). Great people and such a fun night!

I have the solution for you: you could be like, "Hey all come to my Moby Dick Tasting, NO HOMO". "No homo" instantly fixes any unwanted misconception!... Your welcome!.....Ohh and if anyone goes to a moby dick tasting and you don't see any rare beers... get the hell out of there!

 

Needless to say the Dreadnaught was the winner. But when it comes to tasting...there really aren't any losers are there?

What year Dark Lords are drinking best right now?

 

The group I was with voted in this order: 07, 10, 06, 08, 11, 12, with 09 tasting oxidized. We didn't have any sludge in the older bottles either (which I heard has happened). My order was: 07, 08, 10, 06, 11, 12, 09. And we did have an apple flavored '12

 

Been slacking so I thought I would play catch up with a few tastings a small group of us have had throughout the year.

nothing compared to alot of these but a nice tasting just the same -

 

Started off slow with some homebrews and then a few others.




Finished off with a nice little Vert last night. 2008 to 2012 Stone Russian Imperial Stout.

 

Drank these delicious bastards over a 3 day stint in Vegas.

 

Just a average Saturday night with my Brother in-law and myself...

What'd you think of blue lady? The one I tried smelled awful and tasted like a muted version of the smell.

 

Good times this weekend.

 

Most of the batch 1 Blue Lady bottles were horrible. There were some that weren't. The one at this tasting was very cheesy and bad.

I have heard that the second batch is out and much better.
