I would have killed to be at a Fantome tasting like that.
This was a nice little lineup from a few weeks ago. The Wild Rock Pinot Noir was for the ladies.
The following week saw this small group of bottles shared amongst a small group of pals.
We started with some DIPAs and used the '12 DL as a buffer between those and the barley wines.
Uh oh...something looks off here...a DONG has become a DOYG?
I wish I had friends like this.
Great pic. Someone's got some photo skills!
C'mon. I did bring the Deviation in addition to the comic relief.

Can't believe I never looked to see what Fou Foune translated to before last night!
This was our 1st Annual Show Me Your Pucker Face event!
Any favorites or other notes?
the eisbocks were super cool to get to try. it was mix on who liked what, but i preferred the 07 raspberry to the new one, but liked blueberry the best.
surly four was pretty phenomenal and held up fantastic.
la vermontoise was pretty solid, but very dry.
ghost stories was not a fan favorite and most people did not finish their glass.
temptation batch 004 was drinking great.
citra is...amazing. comparing the nose from the IPA glass to some other glasses did make a difference, but i plan to do some better AB testing on this soon.
cuvee delphine amazing as always.
chez monieux stank like cheese, but tasted great.
new fantasia is incredible.
vlad drinking great.
etc...etc...etc...really good tasting.
This was a blind tasting that the wife put on for me and a buddy.
Any favorites or other notes? How is De La Senne Wadesda #1? Whalez bro?
Always wondered what happened after you drank a 60min, 75min, 90min and 120min in a row. Apparently you throw up!
Little tasting party on Sunday. Some Whalez for West Coast.
Wadesda was definitely super delicious as well. Light and citrusy and almost creamy with the unmistakable Cantillon shining through. Reminded me a bit of Duchessic, Ale Apothecary Sahalie and Temptation too. The best we could figure out for the translation of Wadesda is "What is it?"
Mini-tasting with some super generous Brooklyn BAs (brystmar and blatantdream). Thanks again for the great time, guys.
*2007 Utopias very generously shared. Tremendous stuff.
In honor of the March Madness Tournament, we decided to have a beer tournament. The first round was blind so that there would be no bias. The top beer per bracket received 3 points, 2nd place received 2 points and third place received 1. In the final four, 1st place received 4 points, 2nd place received 3 points, etc... We then added up our points and whichever beer had the highest average would be crowned the winner.
All three of us picked Heady Topper at #1.
Quad Ale Bracket
Two people picked Westy and I picked Rochefort
Everyone had a different #1 in the Stout Category
Wild Card Bracket
The label-less bottle is a homebrew of mine. Hel & Verdoemenis easily won this bracket.
We drank the entire bottle of Hel & Verdoemenis during the first round, so I had to open another one for the finals. I ended up opening a 2010 version, which was probably unfair.
The 2010 Hel & Verdoemenis ended up being crowned the winner of our tasting. Two people had it ranked #1 and another had it ranked #3, for the highest average score.
My birthday tasting last night. Missing from the pic is the mimosa undecided to trade because most of
Us had already tied it
litte tasting last night.
Four+2010 Darkness glass+2009 Darkness glass=Indescribable Awesomeness
How was the Four, is it heading down hill?
Just a couple friends getting together
Last Night's "Stout Tasting", in sequence.... until the pizza showed up, then the IPAs came out.
Full Sail Black Gold
Sunday beers with MinorThreat (thanks for the bottle of Blanton's), SkeeterBoganski (thanks for hosting), and DenverBeerDrinker (thanks for driving!).
The line-up: Saint Lam, LPG, HandFarm, Prarie Ale, HF Harlan, HF Double Galaxy, PseudoSue, Love Child No. 2, Vlad The Imp, Ivan The T, Blanton's, and Zipline Belgian Pale Ale.
How was the Chimay 150?
This pic needs more air time
It was a very solid Chimay. Signature yeast. If you like the regular Tripel, you'll like this. I'm glad I have another one.
Just got back from a Stonewall vertical. Or should I say 3 bottles of the only batch...
a little something we enjoyed last night.

How many people was this? And is the follow up post part of the same tasting?
Saturday night a Couple friends and I went to the spring craft beer festival. It was very disappointing so we had our own tasting at my house.
You landed an Arctic Panzer Wolf???????
Is that a serious post? Its not particularly that rare around here. I've got a ton if you need.
