Drove up to Maine Beer Company and picked up a case of "Lunch" along with three "Another One" IPA's. Nice place to visit if you can get up to Freeport, ME.

This is one of the boxes from drstls4drmrs and his LIF raffle for his bike competition to support a cure for MS. What he is doing, along with others to support the misfortunes of others is not only refreshing, but a reminder that for all the horrible things that occur around the world everyday, there are people who seek to end that suffering and for that I tip my hat and raise my glass to them. Thank you!

The beer in this box is absolutely amazing. The glasses are badass and needless to say my fridge is stocked back after this crazy Labor Day Weekend.

    • Imperial Biscotti Break - :grinning:
    • Ron and the Beast Ryan - huh? :astonished: Anyway, a saison brewed with honey
My only non-Evil pick-up: Morning Wood () - an oak aged coffee amber

    Peace!

I found it in a place in Livonia (west of Detroit) yesterday. He was selling it for $6.99 a bottle ($42 a sixer). I looked at him with a shocked face, enlightened him that it is $60 a case at the brewery and promptly walked out. I couldn't believe it, but should have known considering the $24.99 bottle of Mango Magnifico on the shelf.

Hit up my local shop to get some more Peche Mortel. Then I noticed that the Rcohefort 8 was about $1 less than normal so I got a couple of those. Picked up an Octoberfest I've never had and $2.69 for an Oracle rounded out the sixer.

Then as I'm leaving I see this at half price. $12.99 for these and a glass? Are you fucking kidding me? Yay me!

You couldn't even manage 30 DDG? Your whalez, bro game is not strong, brah. Or, did you do the unthinkable and drink one before the Tecate?

1:1 with Rare, they say. It's a whale, they say. Difficult to acquire, they say.

    :grimacing: didn't think so ...

(all tho to be fair that's only 27 Rares... ISO pic of 29 Rares to form a fair opinion)

Lol I'm assuming acquiring that many Rares was more difficult than having a computer during an afternoon and 4 friends who are free on Labor Day weekend. I really couldn't care less, I just find this all hilarious. I have my fill of DDG coming in fair deals, that's all I care about.

I wasn't 21 when Rare came out so I have no clue, but I can't imagine it was high unless it was a huge retailer in Chicago.

What's even more odd is that even earlier bottlings (84??-89?) have a paper wrapper, and they feature more nude belgians... censorship was big in the mid 90's I guess...
