Hey, Looks like you went to Winter Fest today!
Where did you snag the Madhouse from? Price? American or English style? Sounds interesting as I've had their barrel aged stout that wasn't bad and the imperial red...

Looking high and low. I don't think I've noticed a sighting any further north than maybe South Carolina so far.
Any interest in doing a local trade for a couple cans of Abrasive? REALLY been wanting to try it.
big time noob question, really sorry, yes I did search - how do you post pics (and yeah I'm totally aware that everyone was asking this question in 1998)?
Made my first trip out to Jack's Abby today, then a bottle shop afterwards.
From Jack's Abby:
Baby Maker (Lager Barleywine aged in Bourbon Barrels that were previously used to age their Framinghammer)
Pork and Dagger BBA Smoke and Dagger with Bacon and Maple Syrup (Just so goddamn weird, I had to try it for the price)
From Bottle Shop:
Jack's Abby Pro-Am Pilsner
Slumbrew Yankee Swap
Clown Shoes Very Angry Beast
Maine Beer Co. Red Wheelbarrow (last one in the store!)
Went to Tree House for some Curiosity Five and That's What She Said. Picked up some other things on the way home. And a good time was had by all.
Beer advent calendar pre-Xmas gift from wife. I have no idea what is in it but looking forward to finding out.
The Madhouse hits HyVees Monday but you could pick some up for $10 at Jasper Winery off George Flagg Pkwy starting Friday afternoon. I wanted some for the games today! A little hot but I think it's their best beer to date. Really enjoyed it. Used Cedar Ridge barrels. Normally I stick with their TRye Stout or Imperial Red as well. Really impressed with this one!
Doesn't say but I think it's American Barleywine, reminds me a little of Central Waters offering.
Hope that is helpful. It's fairly limited. I think they made about 1000 bottles.
Very cool, and awesome wife

Thanks Kent for a box that made this grown BA scream! I know you heard it . . .
The wife brought back a few locals and 3 not so locals from NYC. Always love my wife, but this just further cements her awesomeness. Thanks to the folks on the Mid-Atlantic forum for the help!
Oh man! My mom lives in NOLA, had the Miel Sauvage, Mecha, and the Hopitoulas, they are all very good. Being a huge fan of barrel aged stuff, the Miel Sauvage is one of my current favorites.
Would suggest getting on that Urine Trouble sooner than later. I just opened my last bottle from the July release and it was now an unfortunate drain-pour. The brett just over-dominated everything else about the brew now. Fresher was definitely better.
I can't wait to start cracking them open. The trades I've made with all of my buds have been amazing, with amazing beers. Looking forward to the NOLA's and the Tin Roof.
That's good to know. Wasn't sure how the brett was gonna go . . .
I finished 3/4 of my glass (a 16 oz pour) and then just didn't want any more of it. Sharing is caring with that one, that way you're not the only one suffering.
Wow . . . stumbled on that one while picking up Alpha Claus. Figured I'd take a chance . . .
A lot of wax came in this week
My favorite two Christmas ales.
That is awesome! How does one land a BA Stone RIS?
