BB has a date of 12/26/13
And it's oak aged. Which I think was a one-off. Good stuff!
Plus it was only $7.99
These sounded interesting, couldn't find many reviews in them so figured what the heck.
St Dekkera's are severely underrated and overlooked IMO. The price holds most people back from them, but is well worth it. That Fraise is my favorite, great pickup!
Only a couple hours in Bend so far, hit up Sunriver and Worthy, the Bottle Shop and Whole Foods, and the haul is growing... not pictured, growlers of Boneyard Notorious and Hop Venom since we walked over there right after taking this pic... and secured a 5gal keg of Hop Venom for the road... now to walk over to Crux.
I knew about this one since Black Friday, but just got the delivery from my parents today. Beautiful set of bottles.
Avery Raspberry Sour and Pump[KY]n
Made 2 six packs last night. Half of them are in the fridge and ready to go. Never had any of these particular kinds before, but I think I made some good choices.
My very first haul post:
Case Stone Xocoveza
Cambridge Brewing YouEnjoyMyStout
DDC Peche Mortel
Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast Brunch Big Blend
I've been having a fantastic beer time in Barcelona. Last night I went to Lambicus, a Belgian focused store and bar in Barcelona. They had 400+ bottles and 5 beers on tap. I bought a few bottles I couldn't even find in Belgium. They had lots more (LPF for 60 euro, FF for 30) but I figured the price wasn't worth it, especially after getting them for cheap at the brewery. Anyways, here is what I did pick up:
Cantillon Gueze * 3
Drie Fonteinen Golden Doesjel
Drie Fonteinen Kriek
Estrella Damm Inedit
Then tonight, I went to BierCab. They have American stuff I can't even find in America! 6 different 50/50 eclipse bottles, Bruery Melange 1, Cantillon, Drie Fonteinen, Tilquin, Nøgne Ø, etc. I decided to go for the LPF since it was 30 euro cheaper than Lambicus (it was 29 at Biercab) and Nøgne Ø Dark Horizon which I couldn't even find when I was in Oslo!
Way too pumped on these hauls. Oh and this was when the BierCab shop wasn't even open! Checking that out tomorrow. Too bad Dubai has a beer liter limit. See you soon US.
Goose Island Brewing - Bourbon County Brand Stout 2015 x3
Firestone Walker Brewing Co. - Velvet Merlin x6
Just a quick ip trade with @Gasc0igne
He brought the cantillon and aussie stuff, I brought the american greatest hits.
Box of Boulevard was a Christmas present from my wife, sweet set! The top two are a product of starting beer conversation with people at work, coming back to my desk to find the westy and making a trade to lock down Drie Fonteinen. Love the craft brew community, cheers BA's!
A few goodies from a little trip to MI for Christmas
The good news is that opening a Bourbon County 2014 Stout on Christmas was a major eye opener for my wife, who is now openly encouraging me to acquire barrel aged imperial stouts. The bad news is that these are expensive.
Big thanks to @pagriley for another excellent IP trade, bastard goes above and beyond.
Damn straight! Glad you like the beers - I am loving the St lam right now - stunning beer, thanks mate! As always I feel the same way - ridiculous beers you gave me!
Had to go back and grab some more of the Sebago plus they had one more Back Burner '13 vintage and a '12 vintage Wheat Wine Ale. Love the prices on these Bombers.
Was all of that bought at one store or did you go to multiple places to buy that? One store should not let folks buy that much of any BCS.
Small but Solid IMO!
The best Christmas present I got this year was this beermail!
4x Koko Buni (12/16 canned)
WW Angel of Darkness
Terrapin Wake n Bake
6x Tropicalia (12/15 canned!)
SoS! Heady! Tons of IPA goodness!
It's pretty enough for a closeup!
Sweet Christmas present from the parents!
Had to come in to work today to pick up this box. Good thing they're letting out early due to the snow storm.
Pretty happy to have found these on our way back from upstate NY.
Bought a couple of six packs of my go to Virginia brewed beer and a couple of singles I want to try. Also I had to get Lagunitas.
Cannot believe I was able to walk out of a store with 2 4-packs of Lizard King!
Tossed in a 4-pack of Captain's Daughter (12/16 canning) and Imperial Biscotti Break BBA for good measure...
Picked up a cheeky 4 pack when I opted to "get some exercise" by walking back home from the movies.
Clown Shoes Space Cake
Boulevard Tank 7
Crux Fermentation Project Tough Love
Went home to Indiana over the weekend. Picker up a few things. The obligatory 3 Floyds of course, and then a few others.
All in all not bad. No real "whales" or anything, but should be some good drinking.
Arctic Panzer Wolf x 2, BlackHeart & Moloko
Bro Doo, Alpha Klaus & Alpha King
Danish Metal, Kind of excited to try this.
Bourbon Barrel Ale (Their stout was good), Project Pam (I missed it here) and Old Rasputin XVIII Wheat Barrel & Rye Barrel.
Looking forward to comparing the Old Raspy's. I still have a XVI too, might have to make one heck of a night of it!
Wow!. I haven't even had any yet. You've been busy!
A store's job is to sell beer & if that was one store, they sold plenty of beer for quite a bit of $$ I would imagine
Got these for New Years instead of champagne.
I finally picked up my haul from The Bruery on the way home from SoCal. I'm gonna need some help
Holy freakin' cow! Having just had my first Bruery beer (8 maids-a-milking), I want everything I can get my hands on!
Nice Christmas gifts from N.Y.
A friend from where I used to work stopped by and dropped off a mix-a-six for me and picked up the can's I saved for him to add to his collection.
Not too bad of a selection for a someone who isn't a "beer guy"!
Honestly, I enjoyed this more than fresh BCS this year. Just don't tell anyone...
