Just found these guys chillin' on the shelf.
My wife brought the Grimm and JA back from Boston. The other three I got at Bottleworks today.
Trade and raffle win at local shop. First taste of Toppling! Great trade with Billquirk.
What did that end up costing?
Does Captain's Daughter make it up to Boston?
After the prior pic, the store texts me an hour later. "We have more stuff." So I got more stuff.
Trade haul from @marnet ! '11-'14 KBS vertical, NG Raspberry Tart, CW Brewer's Reserve Stout, and Mother's MILF Stout
Little trade came in from CO. All new for me!
I finally got a few bottles of Fantasia. I can't wait to try it!
I like this to infinity. I have all of them in my apartment as well but God DAMN it looks sexy all lined up like that!
Maybe not as fancy and hard to find as most of what gets posted here, but hey. My local Kroger doesn't do the build-your-own-six-pack thing, but as I found out just now, apparently they do break up older 6/12-packs and sell individual bottles of beer that's just hit its "best by" date.
I wasn't planning on buying beer today (money's pretty short right now) but ended up getting all of these for just over $7--the listed price was $1.30 a bottle, but apparently they rung them up as "imported wine" despite being neither of those things and so I got a 10% discount on each of them thanks to my Kroger card apparently giving discounts on wine (I think that's the first time I've ever actually gotten a discount with that thing. XD)
I had wanted to try the fall variety pack that these came from, but never got around to it. A six-pack of any Sam Adams normally goes for closer to $9 here, and I don't think any of these are really hop-centric beers that would fall off freshness/taste-wise really fast... so I figure they were worth grabbing.
Not in boston. Those i found yesterday up on the MA/RI Line.
Insurrection is a newly bottle double IPA from Fulton, a local brewery. It has Nelson Sauvin and Mosaic hops. It is fantastic. Never had the Sammy Smiths until tonight. My go to beer store was having a tasting of their regular beers. They are all selling for $3.69 for the next 3 months. Never had a beer with that much chocolate. Enjoy by and Hop Henge are must buys.
so this means i can make my own CBS ...right?
early bday present from a buddy of mine Im gonna have the sexiest bday waffles.
And me and a friend went beer shopping and picked a few things up a bit of a haul i guess Pugachevs Cobra is in 32oz growler btw
One of my local stores puts out stuff that is already aged. Earlier this year I picked up a 6er of Expedition thinking it was the new 2014 to find out it was 2013. That's a score in my book. Tonight I looked at a bottle and they had 2012s!
Took my first trip to Alpine Beer Company today to pick up my Kiwi Hermans and the max (3) on each of my two favorite IPAs, Duet and Nelson.
2 trades came in yesterday. Chicago and Florida. 2 more today and the JK on Saturday. A good week indeed, stay tuned.
hop stalker is still sitting around somewhere?? Has to be at least 2 months old at this point
Two months it is. Hiding on a back shelf, but still pretty good. Brother and I were swapping Fat Heads for Troegs--I owe him some JuJu when it hits.
AGE THEM! If even for just 6-9 months. I can speak from experience that the beer completely transforms if you give it some time in the bottle.
hop stalker was my favorite beer this year from them. enjoy!
A nice trade with an excellent BA, @end_27 , for some Illinois goodies and BB Plead the Fifth.
Plus some local pickups:
Fresh Deschutes Hop Henge
BA 72 Imperial
Vanilla Coffee Bean Dark Apparition
Not too bad of a haul!
Found These at a Local Deli
Above: NG Apple Ale, Scream IIPA, Raspberry Tart and Strawberry Rhubarb. CW 16 and BA Cherry Stout.
Below: BCBS, Prairie Birra, Trillium Fort Point and DDH Melcher street.
Helluva beer day today. Needless to say, my beer budget has been depleted for the next month or so (unless I can score a Sucaba, I'll make an exception for that). And yes, that is my finger in the upper right corner of the pic...didn't notice that until just now
Unfortunately I didn't win a bottle of Ann but coming home to three boxes was a great consolation prize
