Not a bad haul for my first few trades on BA:
CR is ’14, BT is ‘12
Hey Wolfman, any good tips om where to Score Grimm in NYC?
Birdsong MexiCali Stout
Christmas box arrived today
was not planning to buy any of this, let alone find it! i was actually stopping by a store that is new to me to get a few things to have on hand for saturday at our house for my fathers birthday and christmas with him and my stepmother. came home with some excellence!
Holy Crap!! Trading any of those Trademark Disputes??
Well @Beersnake1 , they were all out of the Royale when I got there today , but picked this awesome beer up instead ! Did a side-by-side against regular Pugachev and liked this much more. Cheers!
New England Beer Santa: Hill Farmstead, Foam, Alchemist, Toppling Goliath, Tree House and Trillium
No, unfortunately - Grimm beers are highly elusive, plus I don't shop in Manhattan, so even if the distro is better there than on Long Island (where I live), I wouldn't know where to go.
The main place I encounter their stuff is a store right at the Queens border, but they keep whatever limited supplies they get off the sales floor and only offer single cans to their preferred/regular customers. The place I shop that closer to home gets in a Grimm product once in a blue moon (musta been a blue moon last week ) - and they, too, keep it off the sales floor and only offer it to select patrons.
Sorry I can't be more helpful...
Today went to a couple of stores:
No problem, man, thanks for taking the time to answer! Love Grimm and I tried finding some when I was there, to no avail. Got some att a couple of bars, but nothing to bring home. I'll try harder next time!
A little Avery
A little BCBS
Fifty Fifty Eclipse with honey
And some small batch buffalo trace antique series whiskey.
Hook up from a buddy, and Rush Day haul.
That's obscene! I'm overjoyed to get my hands on a bottle or two.
I was in a bit of a beer drought and than as if by magic 3 boxes of beer show up.
First a box from @jhavs with some east coast goodness and an awesome growler of Hill Farmstead double galaxy. Than a nice box from @Justdoit1234 aka a huge Trump supporter sent me a great t shirt with some fantastic beers plus an all time favorite with the Double Shot and finally @FriedSlug breaking the back of my fed ex driver's back at the same time knocking out most of my wish list and a couple of cans of a favorite IPA Hop Drop and Roll. My Christmas could not be better.
That shirt is epic.
Sorry to hear about the Royale (perhaps we should meet up and crack one of mine at some point ). I haven't actually tried Laval, but I've heard great things!
Picked these up a couple of days ago but haven't posted yet. The barrel-aged Thimble Island was good but boozy.
First pic is a haul from my buddy @ItsYourBoyBlue
Second is an early Christmas present from my lovely girlfriend!!
I can't wait to try the Beer For Breakfast, as well as Vunderbar--as I'm a massive pils-head and I heard Vunderbar is a good one.
I also am excited to revisit Celebration Ale, as I don't recall having it at all last season.
How come I haven't seen you drink from the boot yet?
I was waiting to fill a growler. I think the boot is 40 ounces.
Yesterday's Illinois beer run was a success.
Christmas gift from brother, with a shirt probably less offensive than others on this page.
Happy holidays to my fellow BAs!
Small shipment came plus some unexpected local pick-ups
Pelican Mother of All Storms
Revolution Deth's Tar
Three Floyds Crack in the Skye
Bells Black Note Stout
Finally arrived in San Diego. #FuckBottleLimits:
I heard that the local grocery store chain was going to get this today, so I was calling over there every hour since 8:30. Came in a little after 11. Going to really enjoy this one on New Year's Eve.
My OCD is kicking in and it bothers me that you have all the BCBS bottles backwards! lol
Picked these up Saturday at Other Half release. Was traveling to NYC with the wife, took the red eye and landed at 6:30am, it was a snowy mess. Took a cab to eat breakfast, after breakfast hopped in a cab and headed to Other Half. We got there at 10:01am doors open at 10, perfect timing! There was a few people there but nowhere near what it would have been had it not been a mess. We lucked out! No lines no waiting. Enjoyed a few beers in the tap room and picked up some Forever Simcoe, Broccoli and Crazy talk.
Trades from this week. 2015 Regal Rye, 2 2016 BCBS and 1 2016 BCBCS. Going to open one up on Christmas. Cheers!
I really hate the cold. But this is well worth the winter existing.
That biere de miel is surprisingly excellent.
Picked up a few six packs. Maduro is a food staple for me. It serves as my daily vitamin. I am also developing a taste for the Hardywood VIPA. Pretty good for a lower ABV than some IPAs.
Saw that the store had some Born Yesterday and decided to buy it even though I thought it may be past its prime. I will find out soon.
Awesome!... it was a choice between 3 JK's and I didn't want to spend on all 3 cus there are still beers to be gotten in the next few days xD. The other ones were hopped sours and I figured I couldn't age those anyways for very long. At least this I can keep for months.
Typically the hops JK uses are aged in the first place, on top of the already aged beers themselves, so you don't have to worry about fade or undesired flavors with their beers.
Couple trades. Really excited to drink these.
