This is called "Doin' it right."
First night's haul in Charlotte for business:
Got this box today in a trade from a great BA @gagepac
Michael's or Sunrise?
Got some yesterday from the release party... My brother went and picked me up a few bottles. Barrel Aged Blackout Stout.
This past weekend I was talking to a beer guy at a local supermarket (note, not a beer store...) here in Cleveland... He asked if there was anything I wanted or to request, so I said Zombie Dust (among others). A few days later, I see on FB somebody noted they had it... I am at work, so my girlfriend ran out there and was able to snag a 6-pack... Supposedly, they got two cases in but somebody bought an entire case right away so he hid the other one in the cooler so more people can buy it if he got asked for it... We got the last six pack that was left, it only took about an hour and a half or so to get flushed out.
The beer guy didn't have my number to contact me before, but he does now for any future hard to get stuff... So excited! Had Zombie on tap a few times recently and really enjoy it. Surprised how cheap it is, $12 or so for the six pack.
Never thought I would be able to find it in the bottle!
Last night's purchases:
Man, what a haul, we should be friends!

My haul from Monday. I just happened to be a couple blocks away from the beer store when I got a facebook update about the DR 15. It was perfect timing. The three on the right were from a recent trade.

Final tally from a business trip to Charlotte, wish I could have fit more bottles in my checked bag but 6 was pushing the limits as it was.
Ahh...how I miss Cleveland! Hope to see some make its way to Detroit soon!
Unfortunately it sounds like they are completely out of it... Unless they mean just at the brewery itself, but they said due to extremely high demand and excessive purchases during the pre-release party they completely ran out of this year's batch and apologized to everyone who didn't get any. Not sure if they allocated some to distributors though or how that works with this release, but it sounded like brewery only release for the barrel aged version.
I know a guy
Good for you man, such a great hook up, enjoy those!
Thousands of miles, tons of bottle shops/breweries, several IP trades, and some cellar purchases yielded this. I'm hooking up many friends and needed saisons and sours for the spring. I'm pretty set
Huge thanks to @Jeffrey2310
Bent paddle cold press w/ vanilla beans
CW BA cherry stout
Fitgers coconut chocolate sweet stout.
Made a little excursion to Alpine Beer Company. Picked up two Captain Stouts, two Duets and two Pure Hoppiness. In the growler, "Don't Act Like You're Not Impressed," IPA 7.5% ABV collab with Mission Brewery.
After having the nightmare on brett...
Got a few more yesterday
Are you gonna share? I just need one!
Getting these today made the long work day seem rather easy
Age one and drink one fresh if you've never had it before. It's awesome at 8 months old, but it's also great fresh. The bourbon character is more prominent fresh and could be overwhelming to some.
