Couldn't resist the opportunity to snag all these without having to drive all the way down to Athens--the only thing that could have made this a better haul would have been Spirit Beast.

    Thanks Lizardville!

I thought it was pretty hoppy and bitter when I tried it fresh, so I can only hope that mellows out a bit. The graham flour and marshmallow flavors were prominent though, and I enjoyed that.

Worked in South Bend today and thought I'd cross the border to see if they received their Hopslam. They were dropped 20 cases "30 minutes before I got there." Great. 1 six-pack limit, $18.99, meh.

Ya thats about right price round here too
Maybe give or take a few bucks. The other day snagged one for that same price. Today got one for 17.99.o_O
It is what it is. May be cheaper in other parts as well. Who knows:D

Obviously Hopslam in MI is like High-Westy in other states. People are hauling 6 packs of the stuff left and right (in other states) while we're fighting for a bottle or 2. Yet we have pallets of Hopslam. You know "vice versa".;)

Happy 2017 BAs! I was in Tennessee and Florida for the holidays with a side trip to Wicked Weed. Thrilled to have all this southern goodness in my fridge!
I am always overwhelmed with the choices from Wicked Weed, I have to fight the impulse to just buy one of everything. I really, really appreciate everything about them from their label art to the restrained hand they use with their beers. I haven't loved everything of theirs that I've tried, but they are always interesting! Too many to list here, but I am particularly looking forward to the Old Fashioned and the Montmaretto.
I also love WW's Freak of Nature, one of my favorite DIPAs. Was happy to find very fresh Jai Alai in Florida but also in Knoxville! The Oxbow on the right is obviously not of southern origin, but I found it on my trip there!
Really looking forward to trying these tasty treats from Blackberry Farm. I actually have stayed there several times, it's a stunningly beautiful resort in the Smokies with terrific food and wine, the beer brewing is a rather recent addition. I've heard a lot about their beers, but haven't tried them yet. The Winter Saison was just released when I was there.

What remains from my last visit to Cantillon. Got them last year just before leaving for vacations! Now they are in the cave waiting for the end of the exams. One of those 50N will be my tentative to introduce my brothers to sour beers... Until now I have had little luck converting them :(

Not everyone's tastebuds work for them. Many people just think sours taste like vinegar. I have a friend who loves literally every other style, but when she even smells a sour; all she gets is vinegar.

Third, face the shelves with fine beer.
