Hump day baby beer mail!
Having recently tried and liked 6 and 8, thought I'd give 10 a spin. So what happened to 2 and 4?
@bottles4dayz slinging the heat!
Awesome start to this week, trades came in, some local pickups, and some good friends hauled back some of my favorite OddSide beers. Parabola and Madagascar for upcoming bottle share. Actually more like for the greatest bottle share, DLD! Can care lease about my group E tickets (no freaking guaranteed variants, argh) I am going for the bottle share with great people!
Nice package from larryi86.
Thanks to amazing @JamFuel
The monks kept them for themselves
Got this office bomb from @jzeilinger yesterday. A gift for Frau Brau and myself from this great BA, man, and father, to congratulate my family on our new son. Somehow, he even knew to include one of the only styles of glassware that does not adorn my shelf (the Hurricane ...!). Thabks again, my friend! Cheers!
The KBS that was recently released in Ontario is from the late 2016 bottling for the International market. The labels are a little different (multilingual). The best by date on them is Dec 20, 2017.
I assume this means it is technically a different batch than that sold in the States as a 2016.
For many, it was a great deal. It was priced at C$7.25 per bottle. The idiots at the LCBO didn't train their cashiers properly, and many of them were ringing up 4 packs for C$7.25. That means about $5.25 US for a four pack of KBS. I know of at least ten people who were able to get it for this price..... And here I am thinking government liquor monopolies are a bad thing!!
Some nice stuff here. Just a LBS score.
Well to me it sounds like it might be last years batch like you stated earlier. But then again it might be the same batch as ours here in the states. Just different labels and what not. This years release their calling the Barrel Aged Seies, or actually they included it as one of the releases in that series. So who knows could just be a clever marketing technique...
Non the less...
Thanks for clearing that up for me
I get curious about distro and what not in different countries and such.
Glad as hell you guys can enjoy some quality products. As I have had my share of awesome brews from your country as well, sir
Hope you get your hands on more of those $7 4packs
Nice! That MoaS is amazing!
Had another amazing day of trades and purchases. Started chatting with a fantastic shop owner up here in Canada, and he eventually showed me his cellar upstairs. He showed me the 2006 Hardy's Ale and, after I mentioned that I had been wanting to try that for a long time, he simply gave it to me for free. Another reminder how amazing the craft beer community can be!
My first Texas haul since we moved here, this is Lone Pint Yellow Rose, Jester King Mad Meg, and Prairie Paradise. I'm so happy I could cry.
Last week's splurge & gifted Coronado singles from a visiting AZ friend...
And my haul from St. Joseph, MO from a work trip in Falls City, NE (ugggghhhh boring)
Been a while since I hit up Aslin and sure was a good week to go with their collab with Meridian Pint and all!
Just a monster box of cans from @Davepoolesque yesterday. My goodness. This thing just dominated my fridge. Freshies for Wrestlemania weekend!
Just in time for the weekend. Looking forward on finally getting to try some Trillium and Tree House. Not to mention a can of Heady Topper thrown in as an extra!
The case if full also. Parabola x 36
Sweet baby Jesus!!!
I... uh.. I don't know what to say
Wasn't planning on buying any beer for a while, but a search on Beer Menus for Urban Chestnut beers (inspired by reading one of the forums lager threads) turned up a place not that far from my office - Clinton Gourmet Market. So I walked over there after work and found not only the UC Zwickel I was looking for but also a very impressive array of beers for a gourmet deli. Ended up grabbing the Modern Times (canned 1/10/17) and the Jack's Abby (I like rye beers). Not a bad mini haul.
Lots of good stuff to try here, mostly stuff I've never had before. I've had three of the four Left Hand beers, and Super Fresh is incredible, but everything else is new to me.
I know a lot of people have a love/hate relationship with Freddie, but this just arrived from Beverages4less.... can't wait to tear in. Happy weekend all!
Small trade but a perfect surprise porch bomb this afternoon.
Went hunting this morning and got my limit. Two KBS, $5.99 each.
I've been working out of town for 5 weeks and hit up a few stores to brings some stuff back. Bodhi is property of @rossracing
German beers and particularly rauchbiers don't get enough love
Also have parabola, consecration, supplication, temptation and 6x westvleteren 12 in the mail. I'm gonna be set for quite a while.
Not much of a stout guy, huh?
Happy KBS release day (for all the non-Michiganders) ... Pretty psyched to get 2 4-packs of KBS! Also grabbed one of the bombers, which felt kinda weird buying.
Snagged some brews I can't get back home during my stay in Chicago. I hope to pay Half Acre a visit tonight and grab and add to this haul!
Nice haul! There should be fresh Navaja floating around from Half Acre - well worth a grab.
I drink the occasional stout here and there.
Thanks, dude. Binny's Beverage Depot will be closed by the time I'm available. I saw Navaja, but passed since I was recommended the other thing. I'd like to bring home some regular Hunter too
I had a slow January and February by my standards (only a few $30 trips, nothing "haul worthy"). I went a little nuts the last couple of days though.
