Road trip to Orange County and picked these babies up. Bottle Logic Fundamental Observation and Aeon of Strife. Green Cheek’s Harrrrumph Double Hazy IPA.
Stopped at Total Wine and picked up a four pack and some singles And four 1.5 liers of wine. I may try to get to Veil tomorrow night for their Tuesday release. Need to stock up on beverages to ride out the hurricane.
Jack is looking good!
Polished off all my beers yesterday watching football, so made a quick stop today to get a coupla Barrier collabs for the Jets and Rams games tonight...

Got a couple of Brouwerij Het Anker Cuvée Van De Keizer Blauw Belgian Strong Dark Ales, my new third-favorite out of about 600 reviewed beers, mostly dark ales. If you like strong dark ales, stouts, porters, etc then you really should try this one. They only cost about $5 but are better than most other $10+ beers. I plan on picking up one or two every time I go beer shopping, to build up a stock of them. It's #38 on the beers of fame list, and number 3 on my list, only behind Founders CBS and Prairie Pirate Bomb.
did you get any bourbon ?
Just som casual stuff to fill out the fridge in anticipation of some Firestone Walker sours coming at the end of the week...
Nils Oscar Kellerbier
Remmarlöv The Oktoberfest
SN Tropical Torpedo
Höganäs Lucky Old Sun
On holiday in the south east of Spain, decent beer is thin on the ground. Thankfully Garage Beer Co do a mail service
Went to Veil to stock up for the storm. We left the OuterBanks, NC on Sunday after spending a week. Poor folks that chose this week to go. They are already evacuating the place.
Central Waters BBQ, good stuff.
Prairie Birthday Bomb - I’m not a huge fan of Bomb! but since these are now in NJ I figured I’d give this new one a try. I already drank this one. I liked it better. Thought the added sweetness played nicely off the heat and earthy flavors from the peppers.
Dogfish Head Fruit Full Fort - I love Fort and I’ve been waiting for this release. Haven’t felt rushed to purchas it cause I know it will be around. I saw it today for $8.99 so grabbed it. Will assess fresh and then determine whether or not to buy more. Essentially, 18% ABV Fort but with raspberry, blueberry, boysenberry and elderberry.
Backacre Sour Golden Ale - I learned about this beer about a year ago by hearing a brewer whose opinion I respect speak highly of it. Was not expecting to ever really find this, and was pleasantly surprised. Aged for one year in oak.
Westbrook “Fruit Wood Time” Montmorency & Balaton Cherry - Blend of 50% two year old wine barrel aged sour ale and 50% two year old foeder aged wild ale. Blended and refermented on both types of cherries for 6 months in another new oak foeder.
Westbrook “Fruit Wood Time” Black Raspberry - Blend of 33% dry sherry cask matured mixed fermentation saison and 67% oak foudre aged sour beer. Blended and refermented with black raspberries for three months in 500L second use Marsala puncheons.
Never had any beers like either of these from Westbrook, so I am very curious to see what they are all about.
Happy Hauling, BA.
Today's beer haul; Framboise De Amorosa - The Lost Abbey, 3 Fonteinen Cuvee Armand & Gaston, 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze, 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek, Supah Sik Spells - Mikkeller (an IPA).
Speaking of Rychtar I have high hopes considering the fact that it is apparently endorsed by Ken Grossman (or is that his Evil Twin?).

Finally got a chance to get this, I've been trying to get this since it came out ($1 a beer promo), but price is so cheap its been sold out everywhere
Finally picked up my magnum from Stone today. I ordered this beer more than 4 years ago, and it was bottled exactly 1 year ago! Zuper Magik W00tStout. Brewed in Berlin.
@Ocalafox planned a perfect tactical strike on my porch. Thank you, sir! This selection completely blows my mind!
@superspak completely destroyed what was left of my porch. This is an absolutely amazing selection! Thank you, sir!
Went by my local bottle shop today looking for just one particular beer I knew they received not too long ago. Found two other beers I wanted to try. Not the biggest of hauls but still enough to get my excited.
Left to right:
Pina Colada Scream from Scottish brewery Fierce Beer, a 6.5% ABV ice cream pale ale(whatever that is), supposedly tastes like it says on the can
Hanalei Island from Kona Brewing out of Hawaii, a 4.5% ABV IPA brewed with passion fruit, orange and guava
And lastly Dessert In A Can Chocolate Marshmellow from norwegian brewery Amundsen Bryggeri, an 11.5% ABV imperial milk stout. This was the one I actually went there for. Ready for a busy night with the Nintendo, cheers
Some bits 'n bobs. Also taking this opportunity to compare my new camera against the old one. Not as much of an improvement as I had hoped, to be honest.
Stone Arrogant Bastard Red Ale
Ritterguts Gose Original Gose
Apostelbräu Roggen Roggenbier
Boon Framboise Lambic
Hohmanns Bernd Heller Bock
Kona Longboard Pale Lager
Founders Sumatra Mountain Brown Ale
Robinsons Old Tom Old Ale

Got the word.. Modern Times was available in PA, which does NOT come around often. I also picked up some my favorite hazy IPA's - Relax.. and a newcomer that I have yet to try. My wife and I both love MT beer.. so they aren't all mine. I'll be watching her even more closely for a little while

MT - Spaceways (8)
MT - Blazing World (4)
MT - Fruitlands (4)

I love this time of year. Picked up some seasonal goodies at Total Wine. Most are singles, but some 6 packs of the Germans, with a whole case of the Paulaner. That's an Autumn staple. Love it!
Yesss, my preciousss . Also, those cans of Spy Dolphin (Dancing Gnome) are just under 3 weeks old, my freshest cans of NEIPA yet. I will put one of them into the cellar and see if it really tastes that much worse 6 weeks from now. Many thanks @PSU_Mike for a great box!
No light and crisp lagers...again?
Picked up a few four packs at Triple Crossing. Both are double IPAs.
My, what a sour bunch. To the right of the Firestone Walkers are:
Brekeriet Vild Lilac
Brekeriet Vild Maschusch
Tempel Brygghus Jante IPA
Six new beers to try, including the Fulton BA mixed 4-pack (a porter, a red ale, and two different stouts). I'll have the Leffe Blond tonight, and that will be style #107 out of 111 for me. The Bud looked interesting since I like Beam. Shouldn't they call it Beadweiser or Bueam?
