This phenomenal box was sent to me by @yankeepride. This is the result of him posting his plans to visit Green Bay, WI, on this site. I reached out to him, we met up, and had a great time together. I gave him a few beers, he bought me some beers and and a meal, then he followed up with this amazing gift. Thank you, @yankeepride! I will definitely send you some amazing beers in return! Living in Green Bay, WI, definitely is an advantage for connecting with BAs in-person. There is the tourist draw of the Packers, and many other attractions, and it is a small town, so it is easy for me to meet up with people. I look forward to meeting more BAs in-person!

I decided to hop down to that Russian/Polish/Romanian supermarket that I recently became aware of to hunt down some authentic(?) Kvass. They had quite the selection, even though I couldn't find it at first because it was all in the Soda section, not the beer section. The staff confirmed to me that it's regarded as more of a fermented malt soda than a beer in Russia.
It's definitely not a beer and shouldn't be on here. It's not made with hops or grains. Just stale old rye bread, sugar, yeast and a handful of raisins. And any Kvass that comes in those plastic bottles is not authentic. Just a mass produced version made from extracts.
