My niece came home from College for the weekend with a taste of Maine, I may have run into Kettlehead also. Cheers
Quick lunch time haul with Oskar Blues BA stouts. Excited to try the Bamburana.
Bam Bur Ana made it up to IL!? Sweet! Ill have to try to grab one of those.
When you tell your friends that you are reducing your inventory and then this happens...............
Nice beers but not an overly large inventory increase is it ?
Mixed bag grab at Total Wine...
Four new beers, Maple Nipple amber ale with maple (but no actual nipple), Irish Blessing oak-aged coffee stout, Extra Xtra double Brut IPA, and Stone's farm-to-table Moxee Gold IPA; also grabbed a small bottle of some super bourbon, and in the spirit of fun, a cheap bottle of sake (the green one at $5.99) and an expensive bottle of sake (blue bottle, $17.99 )...
Good times, dead ahead - cheers...
Haul/gift from my new belgian boss!
2002 Cantillon Geuze
Awesome! The oldest Cantillon I had was about that old when I had it and it was a special experience...
My plan to drink a bit less beer in 2019 after reviewing about 750 beers in 2018 is failing spectacularly so far. I’m on pace for 1048 reviews this year, and my fridge just keeps replenishing itself... from left:

here's a few recent hauls
The bombers are a gift from a co worker who was in LA and the cans are new stuff from our local Liquor Stores.
All the bottles were muled by a very nice region manager who drove in from Colorado last week and the Bamburana was a special order through our local LS..those cans are fire.
Annual (and last) whale sale at my favorite shop. Was in line at 3am for my number. I spent WAY more than I should have! That's probably it for 2019!
One of each, most of which I haven't tried.
FO is b3. Haven't tried the Midnight Orange.
Golden Blend is always one of my favs, and I haven't had any of the de Garde.
Hit the BL jackpot. First time with RFI, NC, JtR, and LB.
Wow, just wow.
Central Waters BA Stout and Pipeworks Ninja vs. Unicorn on sale, Toppling Goliath Hopsmack! canned 2/6.
Some new, some old.
Mini haul. Toppling Goliath just entered the NY market, so I jumped at the first opportunity to pick some up. Brewed in Decorah IA and canned 1/28/19.
I hit the other side of town today
Untitled Art bottle release day. Plus a huge score finding the raspberry truffale and straight jacket.
Abraxus 17 from the other night.
Vanilla Deth, S'mores, and Sunday morning stout were thank you beers for an exchange today.
picked up a few goodies today, bank account isn't happy but I sure am. the other 4 bigfoot will be hiding out for a while.
Really happy to have Wicked Weed distro to FL. Quick run thru total Wine in Orlando today....and Zambian Milkshake IPA from Hourglass Brewery in Longwood, north of Orlando...
And these few fellows that will gifted away...
Some beers I haven't had yet, from the market!
Might've lost my mind with this one.
The Bruery- White Oak, 2016 edition
Stone Berlin/The Bruery- Fahrt Die Ziege
Newgrass Brewing- Winteropfern
When you see Wrench in the make-your-own six pack section, you don't pass on that.
Florida's distro keeps getting better and better by the looks of things. First it was Lord Hobo, and now Collective Arts, Captain Lawrence, and Foreign Objects are also distributing down there.
Just curious is there a set price for the make your own 6 pack?
Nope - craft beers vary in cost from $1.75 to $5 or more, so no way a store would have a fixed price. Most stores that sell singles have the single price in the computer, and often offer a discount on a mixed-six.
I used to think the same until I went to a hyvee in Sioux City and grabbed 3 bombs and 3 other randoms for 8.99.
I think it's changed since, haven't seen the set prices sixer recently.
La Bodega represent! About to post my haul too; showed up at 4:45 for me. Nice grabs man!
My favorite bottle shop held their last annual whale sale yesterday morning. Grabbed all stuff that I haven’t had yet. Also lucked out on one of a few generous surprise gift certificates for another trip back. Thanks La Bodega!
Decided to go on a day trip to Boone on a whim. Peabody's wine and beer is basically heaven on earth.
Ive seen it in the past where they would have a build your own 6 pack at a set price.. The cashiers would pay no mind about what you put in the 6 pack.. Scored a 6 pack of mixed avery barrel aged beers for 9.99
Nice score with the gift certificate! Was this on the bottom of a bottle? This was a great event - it's too bad there won't be another!
That's a hell of a deal, and I bet there are still a few stores that still do that, though I haven't seen any.
Found these 2 fresh this morning in Manhattan...bootlegged them back to TX tonight, can't wait!
Yup! I had one taped on the bottom of the MT/JWB collaboration, totally got lucky. Did you make it out to last year’s? I completely forgot that she did this before too; last year there were gift certificates inside the boxes of some Firestone vintages. And yeah I looked forward to this one every year too, maybe they’ll throw some other different kind of event down the road?
