Nice...I was gonna have that ESB last night but made a last minute decision to go alcohol free. Always dig the Secale..I may go back this week and see if they have any more.

 

We get Schilling Augustine 13 around here. Supposedly some fresh cans coming. Some old cans, as in April 2022.

 

That haul looked very California.

 

Be sure to check the bottling date for an Easter egg type…

 

I didn’t have a chance to open the case, but I received the case of 3F Perzik Geel today that is ordered a few months back. Apologies for the Uber-soft-core beer porn photo.

 

It was C$44.53/bottle, but you had to buy a case and were given a case of the Rood, Geel or Wijnbergperzik at random.

 

WeldWerks Old Rip Medianoche, Eli Fish BA Will It? Stout and a 64oz growler of 3 Son Fractional Sum that cost $10. No, you can’t really see the growler…

 

With the current exchange rate, I’m paying about US$7.95 a bottle!!!

Okay, so I got into a blind trade with @NorsemanOne who claims he isn't up for the level of beer a BIF requires.

I beg to differ.

20 pound box was delivered today, I'd say he did quite well! I can only hope he's as happy with what I sent him as I am with what he sent me. All new to me beers and mostly new breweries.

 

Was not aware Gnomegang was being brewed again. I enjoyed this beer when I last had it. That can though, I would have never even looked to see what was in it if you did not post it.

Good morning,
small haul brought home from a Brewery that my group has been a close friend of since the very beginning: support and choirs at festivals, even with smoke bombs and stadium chants if outdoors.
Having finished work exceptionally earlier, I made these 80 km (each way) to go and drink two beers and eat a sandwich with them as a surprise.
After finding out why two of my favorite beers brewed by them weren't available (Hop Machine, DDH Ipa and Brain Damage, a Tropical Ipa they make both in basic versions and with added fruit variants such as Pineapple - my favorite version - Mango , Maracuja, Dragon fruit and Goiaba...), I brought home this box of 12 cans of 30 cl at a very low price:

Birrificio Pontino (Latina, ITA) :

6 cans of Runner Ale: 4.8% American Pale Ale (the Brewmaster told me it's very fresh, put in the can less than 10 days ago)
6 of Black Swan: 9.5% Imperial Stout with coffee, cocoa, coconut and vanilla (another favorite of theirs, wish you could taste it)

Both on the can report January 2024 as the recommended date for consumption.

You try the cape May gold yet? A delightfully simple and super balanced beer. Really enjoyed it.

 

...through the kind generosity of @cryptichead, I can now tick West Virginia on my state list...only have Arkansas left and then it'll be all 50 states plus Washington D.C....

My wife sent me to Trader Joe’s for a few things, which I mostly remember to get.
One time I went for her and forgot everything except the beer. Now she sends me with a list pinned to my sleeve.
That place has the freshest Lawson’s on the Cape and surrounding areas.

 

Let me know your thoughts about the Port City smoked porter. I have not had that one I have had Port City porter and thought it was pretty good.

...I'd say @NorsemanOne would be a natural for NBW BIF...is he participating in the upcoming one (I'm not this time)...and I'm jealous about the Epic 'Mid Mountain Mild'...used to get that and 'Utah Sage' plus many others years ago, now it's a monotonous selection of Big Bad Baptist varieties and little else...

 

We are indeed blessed with his (and several other new to the BIF) presence. It promises to be another excellent round.
