Small haul from a Florida trip.
Not my haul but might as well be. Lots of fun stuff in the wake of Farmhouse Fest happening last weekend.
You line up a trade or are they all just sitting on the shelves. Cool you got the Bellwoods collab!
6ix Days - trade for Guava Milkshark + Motley Cru
Loons - muled over for me from Europe
French Toast and Paradise - shelf
Thanks to @dabeerbuddha
Another awesome haul. Thanks for the beers @Derek ! Can't wait to try these!
With only 48 hours to work with in LA, in between stuffing my face with ramen, sushi, and Mexican food (... and ice cream sandwiches), I managed to grab a small amount of delicious beer:
Airline points really came to the rescue on this one!
The most recent in a flurry of trades.
apparently my last post didnt work, here is what the picture is supposed to be
I just had one that was flat and a little oxidized. I hope yours is better!
I just had the straight up Tilquin for the first time as well, and I think it's a new fav!
True fact: it's not an IPA unless the label is at least 50% green
Wait what's that in the background?
Awesome beer mail today, thanks @yasky !
Fall haul... Should tide me over for a little while!
Brother went to Miami and there happened to be a J Wake release
You pick that up while in town?
Gotta be the coldest day of the year too... geez...
Barn Hammer Brewing Co. - Fur Trader Winter Ale
Forgot to post the results from a beer run I made to Michigan in December (though a friend picked up the Darkness bottles locally while I was on the road):
High-quality hoppy hauls make me happy!
I'm not used to being able to feel that way about locals. Don't want to jinx it, though...
Just a small haul from Victoria.....have to keep my 8 year vertical going. It's gonna be a great tasting in 2 years time!
I didn't know there was a new batch of Vox Pop IPA out, I'll have to try to grab some before it disappears. I did happen upon a huge batch of Boréale IPA du Nord-Est at Peluso this weekend, so I bought 6 of those. I don't go crazy for the haze the way some people do, but it's definitely a very good IPA and I'm glad that it's starting to be available in larger quantities.
Yeah, the icebergs of IPA du Nord-Est at Peluso have been something else lately! I'm curious as to how long that will be viable though as the hype that fueled the initial demand calms down. Especially when I notice how hard it is to find fresh Le Castor nowadays, since fewer people are buying it due to the demand for the newer IPAs.
I'm not the world's biggest hop head either, but I really never thought I'd see the day when there was a decent selection of middlin' to good IPAs here so it's nice to splurge once in a while. All I'm worried about now is that people will go nuts and we will enter a couple years of being drowned in IPAs at the cost of other styles. Only time will tell...
If you don't find any of Vox Pop, I grabbed four and I'd be happy to get one to you
Nice! I only have 7 years, myself, but it should make for a good tasting one day if I can find the right group of people.
Yeah, choosing a group size to ensure everyone gets a good pour is going to be difficult. I'll be wary of new friends around this time in 2 years
This was about half the haul, didnt get a chance to take a full group photo
Did you get the 750ml A&G in Alberta?
No that's a 750 geuze! I found some at Kensington liquor so bought two!
Ahhh, I get it........ they changed those labels over too.......
Quick haul from Allez Hops Cave a Biere in Nice, France. After 3 years of looking... finally found a bottle of Snake Venom 67.5% (officially now the most I ever spent on a single bottle 90€!)
Missed out on the Assassin lottery and didn't have enough time to drive to Decorah, but this haul was a nice consolation prize during my weekend in Minneapolis:
Looks like you got gypped a few mls with that bottle on the far right /s. Really gotta try one of these sometime if they’re making their way to Alta.
Yeah those damn fill lines man! They came early April around Easter! There might still be some of the standard bottles kickin around though
Hi, guys! I suggest you to post where you got the beers. So it's easier for us to try to get them as well. :-)
Was in Fargo when TG Brews announced the SR-71 release at midnight. I was already planning to get to TG in the late afternoon and just grab some King Sue cans. Decided to wake up at 430AM and make an attempt to get to SR-71. Arrived around noon (had to stop for food, coffee, gas, and motor oil), found absolutely no line, and walked into the brewery. Glad I took out US cash before I left home. (Already gave away a couple of King Sue).
Another annual June trip to the US east coast. Spent a couple days in Sturbridge, MA before heading to NYC to catch the Yanks vs Red Sox opener. Didn't have enough time to stop by Trillium or anything in Maine, but still did pretty well overall. Odd numbers since I tried a few throughout the week.
Apparently that's very collectible Julius - they ran out of current label cans so used retro label
best beer haul to date!
all declared at customs (plus Tequila #Fortaleza & #OldPotrero 18th C style Whiskey), waved through
