The place is called ‘The Veranda’, in downtown Fort Myers, FL.

On the plate is Gulf shrimps atop a pair of grilled tenderloin medallions, covered with a crab butter reduction. Mashed potatoes decked with an edible orchid along side. Asparagus up top.

In the glass is a Fort Myers Brewing ‘High 5’ IPA.

 

Fajita salad with a Ft. George Vortex. It's what to do on the rare occasion you have fajita meat left over.

I had the burger below in 2018 at "The Nova", the bar/restaurant attached to my favorite liquor store "Casanova" in Hudson Wisconsin. Best burger I've ever had. The beer is a Dogfish Head Raison D'Être, on tap in the restaurant. The Nova closed for a couple of years, but I see it's reopened. Damn, I was just at Casanova a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't notice, though they weren't open that day.

 

I will be joining in soon. This is how I like my Polish Kielbasa. On beefsteak rye with Swiss cheese and yellow mustard. I will include beer from now on.

 

A pretty good lager with whole wheat pasta,pesto,chicken sausage and broccoli rabe

 

That must've been quite the interesting pairing

 

Do you do it boiled, pan-fried, or grilled? Any way is good imo but frying it is great

 

For that sandwich boiled. With mac and cheese, then I pan fry or grill. Air frying also is good. Love the air fryer, especially tots air fried.

 

Par boiled brats in Rhinegeist Juicy Truth IPA and onions, then finished them off on the grill. Yellow mustard, onions, and jalapenos on the brat and some doctored up Bush's Country Style baked beans. Paired with a Rhinegeist Juicy Truth IPA, of course.

 

At Rey Azteca in West Chester, PA enjoying the combo 11: Chile Relleno, beef enchilada, beef burrito with a Brix City Brewing Kolsch!

Hebrew National hotdogs with orzo rice salad and sour cream and onion chips with SN, “Summerfest “lager!

 

Starting the meal off with a Jalapeño pork sausage from the Country Butcher in Kennett Square, PA!

 

Grilled hot dogs with Boetje's Honey Stone Ground Mustard and jalapenos, jalapeno kettle chips, baked beans, & Victoria. Cheers!

 

Aside from swordfish salad guy, these photos are a damning indictment on the modern American diet.

 

The damning foods are the ones I drink beer with. I usually have water, tea, or milk with a more healthy meal. But yes, it does look bad doesn't it?

 

Man this thread made my hungry! I figured I had to share the beer / steak pairing I had the other night for my birthday dinner! Hang-smoked a 68oz American wagyu tomahawk! Turned out amazing. Cheers!

Earlier tonight, at Iron Goat, I washed down a roast beef and cheddar sandwich special with their Sheep Go To Heaven IPA.

 

Took yesterday's pulled pork butt and pan fried it with salsa verde. Flour street taco shells, then dressed up, and last but not least Valentina Salsa Picante. Miller High Life, of course.

 

Yep, reopened. I was at the store 3 weeks ago for a beer grab & go and Nova looked very busy. Let’s hope the food remained as good as always!

Unfortunately, I couldn't spot that burger on their menu.

 

Have to be honest,didnt look good in the building of it but the end result is really colorful and appealing.
Description sounds awesome as well.

Dessert for tonight is strawberries stuffed with a cream cheese/bourbon vanilla/sugar concoction, drizzled with chocolate, and topped with graham cracker crumbs.
