I don't think there is a bubble at all. Craft beer has experinced steady growth for a number of years now. Most craft beer is only a dollar or two more a 6 pack than BMC. The 15 to 20 $ a 4 pack stuff is a tiny % of the craft market.

Yeah, but I highly doubt people are looking for financing for their beer drinking habits.. We don't go into a craft beer store, and apply..

"Hey, I qualified for $5,000 worth of beer today, at 4.3% for 30 years!"

When in reality, you could only afford to drop half that for beer on a good year.

There isn't a proverbial bubble, but the prices have increased as the popularity has increased, naturally.

The tulip bulb bubble, for example.

Three cheers for Sierra Nevada! Shame on the craft breweries who could hold down costs but refuse to!

When liquor stores aren't moving product because of pricing, they will devote more of their shelfspace to brands that do sell.

Here in San Diego County, every liquor store is remodeling to accommodate the 50+ existing breweries and 30+ additional breweries being planned. The breweries will have plenty of retail outlets to carry their product. The trick will be to get the public to buy it off the shelves. Some of the new breweries will certainly need to come in at a lower price point to garner any market share.

Maybe the gubment should take over all craft breweries and set the prices; then we don't have to worry bout no bubble.

Give a man a beer, and he can get drunk. Give a man a brewery, and he can get the whole world drunk (for a slightly inflated price)?
