Profile Page View suggestion

    Hey guys -
    First off, again, bravo on the new forums, they're a vast improvement over the old forums and for that, I say thank you.

    I have a suggestion about what you see by default when you click on a user's profile page. You are defaulted to seeing the "Profile Posts" tab which for me, and for most other members I've clicked on, holds fun quips and quick conversations, where as the "Information" tab seems to hold the information that used to be in the main part of the profile on BA.

    I much prefer to see the Information tab first and then probably Profile Posts if people like to use that and then Postings and Recent Activity. To me that seems like a much more logical progression of useful stuff than the way it's laid out now.

    I know I can quickly click to see the "Information" tab but it seems like perhaps, it contains the most useful content.

    Agreed. The info page is, at least for the vast majority of users whose profiles I've perused, vastly more useful.

    I have to say that I like the fact that you get a popup "thumbnail" when you click on the username/avatar in the forums, it seems easier.
    Still fighting my way thru the changes, so far I like what I see.

    I agree with this. That's the page most of us are looking for anyways when clicking on someone's profile.

    I would like the little preview pop-up if it showed the stuff from the Information tab (or at least the first X characters of it, or something like that). As it is, it usually just adds yet another click to get to the information I want.

    Also, it would be nice to have a link to wants/gots in the pop-up, but I'm sure that's something that'll happen eventually as the forum is integrated more.

    Keep in mind that there is still a lot of work to be done with the site. I imagine the post view was just the forum's default. Presumably once the more important issues are dealt with this would be a logical change (likely when the forums merge back with the main site).

    I very much understand this and it's obviously not something that's urgent. However, this is the place to provide feedback, which presumably the Bros are looking for in a constructive nature. I tried to provide that here because I'm not so sure this is a logical change...
