Great shots! I use my cell phone camera all the time. Especially now that phone cameras are getting close to normal point and shoot quality. Some of the new Cell Phones have 8+ MP and great lens quality for what they are. Cameras are getting smaller and phones are getting more powerful... eventually we will meet in the middle. I want to take my camera and my 85mm next time I go to a couple places. Then instead of starting this thread, I can put my money where my mouth is!

My friend and I came up with the name without even knowing the band existed. I only found out later when I Googled it. Maybe I should've blurred the name on the label before I uploaded the picture. Don't want to get sued for copyright infringement! ;D

I cant enlarge it enough without it getting blurred... what kind of beer is it? I am a fan purely based on the name alone, but I will be a bigger fanif it is a good style too haha

you're right... and I am an idiot. I could see it better in the picture as is, then when I enlarged, but for some reason I just really needed it bigger haha. Scottish Ale it is!

Great shot. The back lighting really shows off the beautiful color of the brew. Love the label and the name as well.

the one question left is... how was the beer? we approve of the picture and the bottle very much and the beer looks amazing(although lighter than most scottish's ive had)

My friend and I are quite proud of how it turned out, though of course we're biased. It's got looks, aroma, and taste all going for it. He's a more experienced home brewer and Plaid is just our second collaboration. We started with a kit and augmented the malt bill to get an ABV a bit higher than the recipe's 3.4%-3.9% range. Oh, and It's darker than it appears in the photo above, which is due to the backlighting. Here's another shot from a different angle.

This is a great one. It really makes me want to leave work early and head to the bar.

(Then again pretty much everything makes me want leave work early to go to the bar.)

Sort of mentioned these earlier, so I'm posting some. Though, the quality varies quite a lot. The film stuff is pretty much untouched and while not my best photography or my best film photography from CZ, I still thought some people might enjoy seeing them. Almost all of these were taken at the brewery in Plzen (btw, Pilsner Urquell Kvasnicový straight from the barrel is pretty god damn incredible).

Those were all taken with a Canon PELLIX QL through a broken 50mm f1.4, in case anyone is curious. Camera is a good 20+ years older than I am.

    Couple digital shots...

Still my favorite shot, from Deep Ellum in Allston, MA. Just some beautiful natural lighting in that place. Not as bokehlicious as some of the pics here (although I'm guilty of that in plenty of my other shots).

I usually try to get crafty with shots but take more pride in my location photos. They are mostly positioned bottles during/post consumption at that particular place but sometimes me indulging. The most fun was toasting with the 4 bottles I hauled up the 3.6 mile climb to the top of Yosemite Falls.

The photos in this thread were all fantastic. I have the cheapest 1.3 megapixel phone and I even work a little to create something conceptual and somewhat different each day. These photos were great! Really great! I would love to be able to see the light, the reflections and the images the way the true photographer does.
